Ok the game came out a couple days ago, I was wondering if anyone has played it yet? How is the game? Does the story go passed the buu saga into gt? Are there any side storys like they had in the last game? Who's your favorite character? Let me know.

Quick info:
Transformations are back, but certain people can't transform back (Frieza)
Almost every DBZ movie is used (except World's Strongest)
Giant Slug is HUGE (yes, Slug the super Namekian is in this game with both forms, that's an example of how hard these people worked on this game
It's much more difficult than the first one (I have both)
Bardock is very cool in this game
Broli has three forms, Gohan may have more.
This game is REALLY LONG
There are some weird characters (like Oozaru Raditz?)
The fighting system has improved, a lot
It spans from DB to GT, and everything in between
Overall, best Dragonball game ever.

I think it is, idk ive never heard his name spelled, it sounded like taurus in the movie for me, i just wonder if hes still godlike in the game

It's supposed to a rearrangment of the japanese pronounciation of letteuce, at least I think it is.

Yup, Turles is in the game. Tree of Might is right after Saiyan Saga. Then Lord Slug, then Bardock, then Frieza.

SOLD!!! Though I hae to chose either pick this up, or the new Smackdown game or Superman Returns.
I already have Marvel: UA and I have already re-rented and played Bully to death. Still awesome!!!
So it's a 3-way choice: Smackdown and Raw 07, Superman Returns, or DBZ. :(

Clearly, since any form that can be reversed can (Super Saiyan), but any that wasn't reversed in the anime or manga dosen't.
Almost every DBZ movie is used (except World's Strongest)
I don't imagine Dr. Wheelo as a character, or anyone specifically from that film.

Yeah, but some of the REALLY big ones in the anime, like the Oozarus and Hirdegarn are kinda compromised. But still, they are huge.

More characters and bigger story lines, I'll admit, are possibly responsible.

Hopefully, his ultimate move is called "Riot Javelin" and not the generic "High Power Ultra Energy Volley"

I understand that they had to give Broly a few more forms. They also did that to Cooler.

Most of the Saiyans, including newcomer Turles, will have Oozaru forms, even if they were not shown in the anime or manga. Plus, we also got Janempa (Janemba's first form) included to it as well. I'm still wondering what attacks are his.

I'll agree to that, too. Plus, I hope that the flying mechanism (in which the first Budokai Tenkaichi introduced a jump button)

I bet the DB one will have Goku vs. Tao Pai Pai, then him versus Piccolo. It'll probably end with Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta vs. Omega Shenron, or Goku needing to beat him with the Spirit Bomb in the end.
Overall, best Dragonball game ever.

I don't think I like the overall feel of story-mode this go-around(I miss the board-game style), but the overall fighting system is much improved. I'm also glad the technique-specific missions have been scrapped(ha! no more having to kill Kid Buu with a Spirit Bomb!).
I'd actually say the overall difficulty has decreased from the last game. Aside from maybe one of the Brolly fights, and a Mr. Satan matchup against 18, there aren't any real "OMGWTFbacon" tough fights in the story mode.
It is indeed the longest of the series, by a good margin. The variety of characters is also great, but there are some balance issues with some of the chars(Garlic JR is a $%^&#!)
I'm still not hooked on this game as I was Budokai 3, but overall, this has more options and more polish.

Just started playing it; it's awesome. I'm reminded quickly just how much I suck at fighting games though; and the Z-Items/levelling up thing is needlessly fiddly IMO. Overall it's just one long fangasm. Which suits me just fine.

I need to clarify something. If you have more than one person fighting, it's a tag match, not a balls out DBZ Legends fight. Like for instance, in the Nappa fight, it's five on one, but Nappa is strong as hell so don't think it's gonna be that easy.
But still, fighting two oozarus in a row sucks.
NOTE - I'm playing on medium difficulty.
Favorite Character - So far, I'm only on the end of the Frieza Saga, but I would chose either Bardock or Vegeta with his scouter on (there's a major difference this time between scouter and no scouter). Lord Slug and Master Roshi (though he sucks) is also pretty fun to use.
Hardest fight - Goku and Zarbon vs Frieza in Zarbon's what if story.

Well I've unlocked seemingly everyone there is to be unlocked but I still have empty slots with "?" on them. I'm assuming a character is there but I can't imagine which one. Oh well...

Have you got Pikkon? Videl? Hercule?
Cell Jr.? Saibaman perhaps?
Those could be one of the missing ones.
I'm not too positive though since I don't have my copy with me.
