What day next week will Wizard claim that the show had record attendance, despite everyone saying how slow the show felt?

Monday morning, 9am. You'll be reading the press release with your morning coffee. ;)

I don't know, though. They usually wait a day to pretend like they're counting receipts or putting some actual thought into it. In reality, I think these press releases are written before the convention begins, someone consults a ouija board to determine a final attendance figures, and then plugs in the gaps. Make up a quote that Gareb can sign off on, and call it a day. Add an exclamation point for the title to grab your attention, and then e-mail it out to everyone to laugh at and publicly ridicule.

I was busy for all of the show from behind my table, I didn't get to actually experience much of the show at all, though I have to admit, there were a few fans that seemed dissatasfied with the scale of the convention. One fan added that there were almost no exhibitors. That is to say that the room was filled with only dealers and artist's alley, with not enough repersentation from publishers and upcoming product. In the past haven't there been booths from marvel, dc, and upperdeck among others?
Personally I had the best "after hours" of any convention this year. The fans were great, and I'm sure to be back next year!

Good to know Stuart! I'm not sure if major publishers have been at that specific show, but Marvel hasn't had much of a booth at any major con in years. They just have a place for creators to sign.
Was it packed?

Oddly enough, I had forgotten about the con over the weekend. And I haven't seen anything in the way of a con report or news coming out of it this weekend.
Not good.

Me too. I was thinking that the first couple of WW:TX shows had some sort of announcements from Marvel or DC, but it doesn't even look like any of the regular news sites updated anything over the weekend.

Newsarama has a con report up now from Scott Hinze, but that's all I've seen. Even the blogosphere seems to have ignored it completely.

Well the CGS 200 micro-con only had about 50 or 60 people so that wouldn't account for the lack of information about WWTx.
Seriously, it does seem really strange that there has been so little being discussed about it.

I heard from 1 guy on the statue forums that said it was pretty good, but got no details.
On the other hand the Big Apple Con in NYC this weekend looks to have a KILLER lineup! And there's a sci-fi con in Framingham, MA this weekend. I may just have to go meet BILLY DEE WILLIAMS!!! :D

Maybe they all took a vow of silence. You know, a "What happens at Wizard World Texas stays at Wizard World Texas" kind of thing...

I personally enjoyed the Wizrd World Texas Show, but then again I might be a little bias. Here's some links to photos and videos of the show, plus some interesting footage on You Tube.
