i'm actually really enjoying them comics about teenage drama (also me and my gf can actually both read it), particularly Blue Monday & Spiderman Loves Mary Jane.
is there any other manga or even comics that are like this?

My first recommendations would be Kare Kanno, and if you like robots and intrigue with your teen angst, possibly Saikano (it is a little dark at times). Japan produces a lot of great teen drama! I should have more recommendations later.
Some of my favorite Tpop Global Manga books are Steady Beat, Dramacon, and Fools Gold. My wife really digs Nodame Cantabile. It's a music based drama. I need to read it all and review it. She raves about it. (I am in the same boat, as I read a lot of stuff she and I can share). I think her second favorite is Fool's Gold.
THose are a start, but there are a TON of really great books like the ones you describe. So many, you might have to be even more specific about what you like to narrow it down.

You might try "Peach Girl", about a girl named Momo whose unusual (but natural) appearance causes her social problems. It's especially notable for Momo's toxic "friend", who is, well, bizarre.

MARMALADE BOY is one of my favorites. Anybody who as a teen ever had to put up embarassing behavior by parents (and in this case, it's Jerry Springer level embarassment) should identify with this.
SCHOOL RUMBLE is silly, the shojo version of CROMARTIE HIGH, but beneath all the slapstick there's a lot to be said about teenage feelings and emotions, as well as the goofy logic teens sometimes come up with.
AZUMANGA DAIOH and HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS are interesting counter-points to one another; AD being bitter-sweet and innocent, HSG being somewhat more raunchy and touched with fan service, yet still portraying its teens in a realistic manner.
(I couldn't either one is more "realstic" or accurate in its portrayal of teens; rather each one chooses to focus on a certain aspect of teen life.)
STRAWBERRY MARSHMALLOW is mostly about junior high/grade school girls but there is an older high school age sister who figures prominently in the stories. The interaction of the girls seems very realistic and believable (this based on observing my own daughters as they went through those stages of life).

BTW, not manga, but I'd recommend THE BABYSITTER'S CLUB graphic novel series.

Elfen Lied has some good drama in it if you can get past the gore.
