Looking forward to the Scourge entry, as it's another often confused organization/character.

And Holly-Ann Ember? You mean somebody else has read Aladdin Effect?

And Holly-Ann Ember? You mean somebody else has read Aladdin Effect?

Hard to believe, but true.

I think Holly-Ann was even planned for our A-Z run at one point, got squeezed out by something else, and ended up landing in the 80s Handbook. Which in retrospect seems like her natural home, really...

Hey Sean,

Picked up my copy on Wednesday, and was elated to find a certain lovely lady in yellow (and one of my all-time favorite Avengers) right there on the front cover, running with everyone else towards whatever it was they were all running towards on those books.

However....

I flipped through the table of contents, and it goes straight from the FF to the "Followers of the Light," skipping right over my favorite fiery female. So what gives?

My only guess is that you gave the cover artist the list of characters and he, like most of us, had no idea who the hell "Stratosfire" is, but thought "hot chick with yellow suit and microwave powers; they must mean Firestar."

If this isn't the case, then where's my girl at?

I was disappointed at the fact Firestar was on the cover and not in the book....I hope she will be in the 90's handbook instead, along with the "heroes for the 90's", the New Warriors.

One of a couple of mix-ups regarding this month's cover, alas. Firestar was planned for inclusion in this issue early on, but dropped from the line-up before press time -- I honestly don't recall why, but off the top of my head I'd guess it had something to do with her already getting a semi-recent Handbook entry (in WOMEN OF MARVEL 2005) plus an OHOTMU Deluxe entry from the 80s coming back into print via the Essentials line, so she was moved out of the LEGACY book to make room for other things.

The line-ups change a lot each month as characters are added and subtracted due to space limitations and various other concerns. In this case, the cover artist would have been working from an early-draft list of the issue's contents, back when Firestar was still on the menu, so she's still on the cover even though she doesn't get her own profile inside.

I'm sure we'll return to Angelica sooner or later (we're gradually doing more updates of already-profiled characters as time passes), but not this month. Sorry for any confusion.

That's probably it.

I was surprised to see her on the cover, because I had read her entry in the female edition.

Followers of the Light?? They're from Shogun Warriors, right?

Yes, that's correct.
