There was a thing on the news a little while ago, saying Circuit City is the first major electronics, brick 'n mortar, retailer to carry the new HD Radios. The radio industry wants the new standard, as a means to lure back iPod and satellite listeners. On the one hand, a new better sounding radio would be cool; but it seems to me, the old problems still remain. Music is what breaks up the ads, just long enough to keep people from switching the channel, leaving us with the same micro-formatted, highly repetitive playlists, and then there's still the "Broadcast Standards" censorship.
