I would post this in games, but more people would care here.

Tsukihime English patch released.

You will have to download the game though, as it's been out of stock in Japan for years.

Interesting :) I may pick it up sometime, being a fan of Fate Stay Night but knowing next to nothing about Tsukihime.

I've been waiting forever for it. :)

Now if they'd only finish Fate Stay\Night... but it looks like Mirror Moon (http://mirrormoon.org/fate_stay_night) is pretty far with that also. (At least for the Fate route)

Finished Arcueid's endings T_T

Now partway through Ciel's path. Boy, it feels really unnatural after Arcueid's path. You can totally see it's taking some effort for the plot gods to tear Shiki away from Arc, and convert his just-friends relationship with Ciel to lurrrve. It's like watching House of Flying Daggers again, in some ways.

OTOH, it's nice to be getting more background story on various things.

I finished the game a week ago.

LOL at some of the extra secrets Mirrormoon put in.

Some of the endings made me sad.

Finished Ciel's paths. Boy, things started getting trippy toward the end of Ciel's True Ending.

I liked her Good Ending :D

Now partway through Akiha's path. Does Satsuki
becoming a vampire screw up her reasoning, or was she always that psycho? I did choke up at her death though. That music is still effective.

Do we ever find out why she and Arihiko are so uneasy around each other? It occurs to me that maybe he tried hitting on her already and didn't like what he saw.

Finished Akiha's paths. For some reason, I didn't choke up at her endings as much as I did at Arc's and Satsuki's. Re: her True Ending, I heard that in Kagetsu Tohya
it leads to her Good Ending, so that kinda robbed it of its impact :/ But if this is true, it's nice that she gets to have her True and Good Ends as one. Who else is lucky like that? Well, I guess Ciel, in a way.
OTOH, while the Normal Ending was definitely sad, I still didn't get choked up as much. Maybe it's because I got interrupted briefly toward the end. *Grumble* Today really wasn't such a good day for reading. I'm pissed that I couldn't get up some proper grief for Akiha, when hers was the last story I was really looking forward to as a good pairing for Shiki. The Arc and Ciel paths certainly dropped alot of hints supporting it.

Maybe it's because she
didn't get to say any last words. With Arc and Satsuki, those were the really sad moments for me. You can argue it's even sadder that Akiha wasn't in a speaking state by then, but dying speeches do have an effect.

Also, the villain was extra-hateable this time around. There's the psycho-jealous-possessive thing, and how he repeatedly escapes (how did he recover from getting cut in the first encounter, anyway?), and his dorky hairdo.

No, Satsuki after becoming a vampire became more bloodviolent.
She was pretty calm before she became a vampire. It was after turning that she became violent.

I personally thought the good ending for Akiha was more sad. Shiki getting more and more frail, and being drained by a nearly motionless Akiha who is just a monster doll.

As for how SHIKI survived? He has a special ability to survive even with most organs gone, even the important ones.

As for how SHIKI survived? He has a special ability to survive even with most organs gone, even the important ones.Yeah... when
Shiki cut him across the torso toward the end, his body fell in two pieces and he couldn't put himself back together, only crawl away with his upper body. What I don't get, though, is why this didn't happen when Shiki cut him in their first fight. Akiha blocked SHIKI's attack with her body, allowing Shiki to slice through SHIKI's torso without getting killed himself. But somehow SHIKI escaped while Shiki was spaced out, and the next time he showed up, he was still in one piece.

Yeah, I didn't get why Shiki's knife didn't work fully.

Personally I like the parts where I die. I do so on purpose just to visit Ciel-sensei and Neco-Arc.

I assumed Satsuki as a vampire emotionally was just her dark inhibitions released, considering she had just become a vampire and understood the basics of vampirism so competently so quickly. Why hold back anything?

Well, if Satsuki being killed makes you sad, at least in Act Cadenza Melty Blood in Satsuki's story she lives and becomes a protector of the city(kinda)
...I don't think it would be canon though, but the idea itself is nice.

Finished Hisui's paths. I was surprised they could introduce a new memory plot point, after going through Arc, Ciel, and Akiha's routes with no mention of it AFAIR.
The True Ending was sad :(

Then the Good Ending made me go:
"Yay!"
...
"Wait, wait, what is this? Wha-- Wuh-- No! NOOOOOOOOOO!"
...
"Oh. Whew..."
...
:(
...
"That's... bittersweet..."

Edit: Oh, and
Re: SHIKI surviving the knife cut in Akiha's route, maybe Shiki didn't cut all the way through, like in Hisui's Good Ending. Not sure if he could've recovered from even that, though.

Finished Kohaku and Eclipse. Ahhh...
