Hi everybody

I'm from Brazil, sorry about my english.

Does anyone knows why Mr. Gone calls Maxx "Br' er Lappin"?
What "Br' er Lappin" means?

"Br'er" is a "brother" abbreviation? And what about "Lappin"?

I think this question is more about english than the context of the story.

Thank you in advance

"Br'er Lappin" is another term for "Br'er Rabbit", which is a rabbit character from some folk stories written in the American Southeast. Br'er, as you guessed, is an abbreviation of "Brother". So he was essentially calling him "Brother Rabbit".

Hope that helps!

the importance of the Maxx being called rabbit will become apparent as you read further into the series.
