I've been inquiring around to my friends and other people who may know.
How much money does it cost to make to produce and distribute your own
comic book/ graphic novel? All I want are some rough
estimates. How much does it cost to get published, how much does it
cost to get printed off? Is gonna be real grass roots, so any information
is helpful. Thanks

There are a bunch of online sites that can help you with that. After doing some research Ka-Blam (http://www.ka-blam.com/) turns out to be the cheapest for printing. Distribution is another matter. Check Diamond (http://www.diamondcomics.com/) for their distribution rates.

Dunno why this is in Tony Bedard's forum though...

Depending on how good your book is, you can try getting published through Image. You may never see a profit from it, but you stand a better chance of not operating at a loss. As an unknown creator with an unknown property, you can count on having some very low sales. Somewhere in the neighborhood of two-three thousand. But however good it is, or however you publish, you should definitely go for it. You have to start somewhere!
