How much does it cost?

I've been inquiring around to my friends and other people who may know.
How much money does it cost to make to produce and distribute your own
comic book/ graphic novel? All I want are some rough
estimates. How much does it cost to get published, how much does it
cost to get printed off? Is gonna be real grass roots, so any information
is helpful. Thanks

Assuming you and/or your co-creators are working on spec and providing the content for free:

a) How many pages?
b) What format?
c) Is it in color?
d) What is the paper quality?
e) How many copies?

You can get short runs of small black and white American style comics for as little as $50; you can spend tens of thousands to do a hard cover full glossy gn with a print run of 50,000.
