It is great.

I'd appreciate a bit more content in initial posts than just a link, though. For future reference.

There seems to be some thouhgful discusion being started on a book site about White Tiger and Tamora Pierce. One of the posters brings about a very interesting point about what comic book store employee said in regards to Tamora Pierce.

"When I went to pre-order WT from my local comics shop, the store owner commented that, basically, she wasn't "Marvel material"--not saying her writing wasn't up to par, but that she was too feminist, too outspoken, and too critical of how comics portrayed women (since comics are still largely a male-dominated area, with both the writers and fans). So listening to this it's kind of interesting to hear Tammy say "I like Angela because she's a smart, strong female hero with no qualms about doing what needs to be done"

Because as you know comic book shop owners know WAY more about the workings of women then famous female authors...

I'm curious how this will turn out. I recently got my wife into comics. She used to watch Wonder Woman as a kid and so I picked her up every Wonder Woman trade out there. Now we go to every convention we can on the East coast and she's reading more. She also loves Spider Woman, so I picked up Origin for her and she just finished the 4 New Avengers trades. Next might be the new White Tiger.

Yeah I'm curious to see as well. There seems to be a lot of posturing and throwing loaded rhetoric back and forth. Hopefully we will see White Tiger, Spider Woman, and more series like them etc. thrive in the comic book shops. Only time will tell.

If your not sure she shows up in Daredevil (is it the arc just after or before Golden Age) which I believe helps lay down the framework for this.

It's great when comics get mainstream media coverage!
