While at the conventions I do a lot of sketches that don't see print anywhere! They are drawn on the spot and whisked away to a private collection. I love it that these pieces are given a loving home, but they also need to be shared and enjoyed by everyone!
THAT'S WHAT THIS POST IS ALL ABOUT!
Every two weeks I"ll update the link below to display a different convention drawing! If you have one of my convention sketches, or even a full blown commission, send me a scan and I'll be sure share!

Ah yes... I usually have one or two pieces of art listed as my "sketch update", but this week I have 5... but they're all trading card sized! ( HA! You thought that I was really going to go all out .. well tough luck!)
Collecting comics is one of the most interesting hobbies around with a lot of folks collecting original art these days. Recently a new trend has popped up. The act of collecting trading card sized pieces of original art. I suppose that the appeal of this form of art collecting is that it is easy to put together a large collection in a short period of time, by a large number of artists. Full sized commissions can be so expensive ( if you can get them ) these days, trading card sized pieces make for a great easy to store alternative.

These 5 pieces are in order Batman, Batman again, Hulk, Joker , Gambit. All are standard baseball card sized. But what really makes this a cool hobby is the little blue lines around the edges of the art. These particular cards were sent to me from the collector with pre-printed blue-line guides ( like pre-printed comic book drawing paper ). This collector had these cards specially designed for his collection. They feature his collections name on the back side! A very cool personal touch!

Ah, and while I'm thinking about it... I've recently been asked to create 5 new cards for the upcoming "World's Finest" edition of the VS card game!

( No rest for the wicked...)
