I'm looking for more anime tv series to watch so, I thought what better way than to see what everyone else is excited about currently. Doesn't need to be brand new stuff, but that would be nice too.
So, shows with no less than 13 episodes.
My current top 5, no particular order...
Mushishi - Low key drama about a mysterious character who researches japanese spirits called Mushi.
Twin Spica - Coming of age drama about a little girl and her interactions with the ghost of a dead astronaut.
Capeta - Little boy dreams of being a formula 1 racer.
Le Chevalier D'Eon - Witchcraft in mid-century France.
Kemonozume - Romeo and Juliet story where Romeo is a monster hunter and Juliet is a monster.

Incidentally, for those that havn't looked up Kemonozume yet. I swear it's done by the same folks that did Mindgame. It's got a similar art style (one of the many used in Mindgame) and an utterly adult and irreverant storyline.

Ooh, I started that recently and it's pretty good.
I can see a lot of people not liking it, though, as it doesn't have a big plot and so doesn't 'go' anywhere the way that, say, Naruto or Inuyasha do. It's about Ginko's encounters as he wanders through the countryside. The individual episodes feel even more detached than Cowboy Bebop did.
Anyway, I finished (and loved) Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (http://kurogane.animeblogger.net/2006/04/12/higurashi-no-naku-koro-ni-02/); a murder-mystery.
I'm also watching Ghost Hunt, which has had only one episode out so far.
I'm sure you can figure out what the premise of the show is. :)

Most of these shows have already ended but here's my pick out of the one's I remember for this year.
Fate Stay\Night - H-Game to Anime, you really can't go wrong with that. (The anime is not remotely H however)
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu - Weird experimental anime 2.0
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Bad art, excellent story. It's a suspense\mystery\horror
Death Note - Only watched the first two episodes but it has a lot of potential.
Ouran Host Club - A funny spin on the Shoujo genre

I've seen Fate Stay, Ghost Hunt, and Death Note. I'm also watching Simoun, SciFi Harry, Kiba, and the new Guyver series.
