What, no love? :(
You have an insane amount of moves in this game. About 115 normal attacks, 29 special attacks and context-sensitive 'God of War' style attacks. The best part about this is the ability to customize your attacks and combos, setting the order of your moves and constantly unlocking new techniques. It'd probably take several playthroughs to get them all. This keeps the fighting from getting stale, since even your basic moves are constantly changing. And the moves themselves are insane. Even your normal attacks can send people flying across the stage or drive their bodies into the ground and eventually you start knocking people clear into orbit (probably won't be long before Gene starts making the rounds on the rumbles board) or just putting them over your knee and spanking them :evilsmile
This game is pretty tough though. I'd say it's more challenging than Ninja Gaiden or DMC3. You've really got to pay attention to what you're doing, since mindlessly throwing attacks out gets you countered and beat down. Even normaly enemies can tear you up with a few solid shots. You can't even block, you have to dodge attacks with the right analog stick. It works out pretty well though, especially since you're immune to a lot of attacks while you're dodging. If you've played God of War, you'll be fine. One interesting thing is how the game gets harder as you perform better. A level-up gauge rises as you successfully attack and dodge and depletes whenever you get hit. If you fill it up you go up a level, which makes the enemies stronger but increases the rewards you get for beating them.
Any game with Pro-wrestling gorillas, midget Power Rangers and superpowered kicks to the balls deserves your $30. This game is too good to be ignored...but it probably will be. Damn Capcom for sticking this game in between the assload of heavy hitters rolling out right now. Hopefully I'm wrong. But if you like Streets of Rage/Final Fight style games, you need this
EDIT: Almost forgot, this game is funny as hell.
