Okay.. so Beyonce's "Deja Vu" video is on right now and as I'm listening to it I'm reminded of Alanis' "Ironic".

From what I can gather from the screeched lyrics (and if I'm wrong can someone who is saavy enough find the lyrics for me) I don't think she has a concept what Deja vu means.

That being said what are y'alls favourite or not so favourite "What were they thinking?" lyrics/songs or even heck even videos.

I kind of like that song but I guess I wasn't paying as close attention to Beyonce's lyrics.

The only time lyrics annoy me is when I can't understand what the heck a singer is singing because they mumble the words too much. Nirvana and Pearl Jam used to drive me nuts with that. Don't mumble, just sing damnit!

That's my one big complaint about Gorillaz - the singer has that "Blah wah me foooooo" style of singing where it takes you fifty listens to figure out what he's saying and then you realize it doesn't make sense anyway.

I really like Damon Albarn's druggy, mushmouth style of singing. But I've never expected it to make any sense.

The Blur stuff is completely different, see Parklife and The Great Escape.
