View Full Version : LSH terminology, threeboot? 2004 reboot, V3.0?

There are several names being tossed around for the current version of the LSH, Threeboot, Rebeat, WKRP etc... and you see all of them being used in sites like wikipedia.
Is there any reason not to use the most intuitive of them, "2004 reboot"? Other reboots can then just be called by their names the 1994 reboot and the 1989 reboot.
for new readers I don't think anything else makes sense.

What would make more sense to me would've been to keep the last reboot , which I really liked a lot more . Does anybody know why the series was rebooted again ? Have sales improved since the last reboot ? Any chance of unrebooted back to the last series ?
All that said , I agree 2004 reboot makes the most sense , but I do like the term threeboot , it just sounds ridiculous .

oy, that's a whole other debate. Once you start that Ontir and I will get all misty eyed for the 1989 reboot (5 year gap, v4 whatever) someone else will wax poetic about v3, the shark and the jets will come dancing out and it'll be a big ole mess.

Sales. When they added Superboy, the most they could do was around 25, 000 copies.
Have sales improved since the last reboot ?
Yes. They're sitting around 40, 000.
Any chance of unrebooted back to the last series ?
Not after Infinite Crisis. The Reboot Legion were folded back into New Earth creating the new version of the Legion.

Binder/Plastino, circa ADV247. The series really went downhill when they 'updated' the costumes in Adv267 not to mention the recon that they were the children of the original LSH.

I like your idea of naming the reboots by year. Nice and easy.

I'm STILL angry that they retconned Mars Boy and Halk Kar!
