Is anyone else's game messing up and not getting your awards you earn and not ranking up when you should?

$50 for a half-baked, bug-filled release with in-game ads? EA has some huge stones to think they can charge full price yet still include ads.

has anyone tried to sell it back to where you got it from?

i don't know about where you live, but down here there is NO WAY they'd take back software. you could just copy it or install it and bring the disc back, claiming you want a refund.
i'm afraid you're stuck with it, my friend.
see, this is why you should always read reviews before you get a game

You mean the fairly positive reviews floating around on the internet and various respected games publications?

no, i mean the ones that usually approach the games problems. if you check it at IGN or GamePro, of course it's gonna get good reviews.
or, alternatively, rent first

Whoah, "I dunno about where you live":) but I have no idea where you can rent a comp. game. Where do you go to rent computer games?

It's a shame to hear this game getting negative feedback. I rather liked BF2: Modern Combat.
So is EA just shelling out crap to suck fans dry of their money? I hate EA.

I played the 2142 demo and have read plenty about it. It’s basically a mod for BF2, not an entirely new installment worth the $50. And I don’t even think BF2 is that great to begin with. (Desert Combat, a free mod for BF1942, is twice the game BF2 is.) Oh, and 2142 runs like total crap even on my respectable rig. The much-touted Titan Mode is virtually unplayable because the game goes to hell when you walk around inside the Titan.
Lastly, and most importantly, 2142 has in-game ads. I think it’s totally unfair to charge us $50 and still show ads, ads which are out-of-place in a future ice age setting. By refusing to buy this half-baked crap, I’m telling EA that it’s not okay to show us ads and still charge us full price. It’d be like buying a sitcom off of iTunes and still having to see advertisements…

Well, I mainly love BF2 because I don't have a PC capable of playing modern games, and BF2 is on 360. I still haven't played BF1942!
I read an article not too long agao about how major corporations have become quite interested in in-game ads, due to the growing popularity of games. So I guess we better get used to it...Or Rebel!
I've heard a lot of complaints about the BF2142 ads, and even though I haven't played the game, I'm leaning towards the complainers. If they don't have a place, get 'em outta there.
