Anyone else pick this up?
I just got done reading it. I was a tad disapointed that it's first issue wasn't tighter. It need more character establishment, why do I care about these misfits and thier plight? And that that's coming from someone who's been following the Omega Men since the Diggle Adam Strange mini. Also going to Earth seemed really unnessisary. Why do all the OYL titles seem to have a crossover with Superman/Wonderwoman/Batman in their first few issues?
Art wise, fan-fricking-tastic. Henry Flint knocks it out of the park. Best "gonzo sci-fi" artist out there. Easily. Really captured the weirdness and creepyness of DCU space. But I fear mainstream readers will see it as "to dirty" and fixate on how "off" Superman, Wondergirl, Cyborg, and Green Lanturn look. Which only illistrates how this book (and this artist) are not ment for "superheroes" in the spandex set.
Never should have gone to Earth. No sir.
I'm onboard to the end, if only because Flint's such an amazing artist. I just hope the story picks up. This could be the first good DCU space book since the Adam Strange mini (well, ok, Mystery in Space is pretty awesome too)
