Just like the title says. I didn't get into comics until a bit later than most, and as such missed out on this title. It sounds like a fascinating experiment, though. What are everyone's thoughts on it? Have you thoughts? Do you think it would collect well in the Essential format?

Essential or not, The 'Nam should definitely be reprinted (hopefully along with its b/w predecessor, 5th to the 1st). I think if Marvel packaged it correctly (admittedly a big if, I don't have any faith in comic book publishers' marketing abilities) it would sell like gangbusters. It's good war comics.

I'd be down with this. Then again, I'm an easy sell on just about any Ess. title. :)

I'd definitely buy it if it came out. I'm in the middle of collecting the run of The 'Nam, and anything that makes it easier to read the entire thing I'm in favor of. It's a really good comic book, especially the first batch of issues that were drawn by Michael Golden.

I dropped it soon after Michael Golden left. His art was fantastic.
Then Marvel stopped the "each issue=1 month in country"...and the thrill was gone.
