I heard rumors of people earning a living by selling in game items, characters, on ebay, but I had no idea the market was so big that the IRS wants a piece of the action. What do you guys think about this?

They've been looking at it for a while, but I doubt anything will come of it. How do you define virtual wealth? Virtual possessions? If I could sell my memory cards with stat-maxed Final Fantasy characters to someone who's too lazy to exp-build himself, do I need to report that on my tax forms? It's a totally surreal can of worms.
