Nope dont' agree. I really think she was the wrong person to play Mary Jane. She really just came off as annoying. Don't really think you can or should compard Mary Jane to Lois Lane. To very different characters and personalities. I wish Peter had a Lois Lane. Not trying to slight MJ with this but she isn't my ideal choice as a mate for Peter. I'd have to create a new character for that.

Come on guys who was the perfect match for Peter? Gwen... No sorry MJ has always been there. If you go back and read the 500 issues of back story you would see that through it all MJ has been there in some shape or form.

Also I can't stand Lois lane. That is part of what turns me off to Super-man. She was in love with the persona first then Clark. MJ was in love with Peter. There was a time where she turned into the damsel in distress, but never to the degree that Lois did. MJ is a smart, beautiful, independent women and through it all has stuck by peter. That is who he should be with.

Also I love Kirsten Dunst, but didn't much care for her in Spider-man. Something about her just doesn't fit. I think it is McFarlane's MJ, but I just always saw her as a more voluptuous super model, if they exist.

well, i liked kirsten dunst as mary jane. I don't see her as Supermodel, but she looks good imo.

And i think she is a good actrees.

Yes, I don't like Dunat is a good MJ either She not a model type and that what MJ is a model/'actress. Dunst is closer to the girl next door if anything. There's better actress for the part in my opinon.

I don't know, in Spider-Man 2, her paranoia (or at least her acting of paranoia) reminded me of Gwen (the paranoid one anyone?). :evilsmile

I disagree and on a related note, I thought Kate Bosworth sucked as Mary Jane too.

I loved KD , and she worked as the more down to earth girl next door MJ from Ultimate .I liked her performances from the movies ,at least she 's a good actress . Her MJ had depth , you could really believe she loved Peter . Kate Boswoth was dead weight in Superman Returns , the one weak performance form a strong cast . So be grateful at least a good actress played MJ .
That said , KD didn't really have the right look for the bombshell supermodel MJ from 616 .
So who should have been MJ in the movies?

i guess that's why i like her:D .

and i agree with agentum. A beautiful girl next door would have been better imho. At least i could relate to that :D that's why i like the ultimate mj, because she is no supermodel (so far)

Dunst has almost too much of a girl-next door look. She appears as if she's burst into tears if somebody so much as shoved her out of the way.

I know I'm probably solo here but I can't stand that girl, maybe it's the fangs. Probably the only actress I dislike more is Renee Zellwhatever.

I meant the fangs she really has...maybe i'm the only one who thinks they look that way. I actually liked her when she was younger, ala Interview, somewhere along the way...i guess maybe it was puberty I just started to loathe her though, that doesn't mean however I won't watch movie with her in them...well if she was *THE STAR*, i'd pass...i'm just not fond of the actress

Nope, your not the only one to notice. Considering how pale she is when standing next to other people... Kinda creepy.
