View Full Version : Murderous Villains

Who do you think are the most murderous, most cruel and the most malevolent villains, ever in the Spider-Man series (whether is Spectacular, ASM or Ultimate, etc.)?

My first pick (not placing him at the top of the list though) would be Mornius since I'm reading MTU #4, the review anyway. He murdered a kid named "Jacob" a few weeks before MTU #4 (Jacob was murdered in #3 of MTU) where he struck again (at two robbers this time) and boy, that scream of that robber just says how terrifying Morbius is.

I would had place Venom in the list but Carnage is a much worst kind of a murderer because, he was already a murderer (his real name is Cassedy though the spelling might be wrong) before the symbiotic got him! Making him a very violent and powerful villain, which is very scary if you think about it. Once, I saw a review about Carnage and it revealed that Carnage has also commited a few murders as well and most of them, if not all, are gruesome.

But what about you guys?

Um....

Green Goblin (Norman)
Hobgoblin (Kingsley)
Carnage

All for different reasons and in different ways...

Heh, at least the Green Goblin is a better goblin than Hobby (better as in not totally inhuman like Hobby).

1. Carnage
2. Kingpin (not directly by his hands but regardless)
3. Demogoblin
4. Venom
5. Kaine

I would had think Kingpin as a very ruthless person. He's kind of like Magneto, willing to do anything at all cost (cept when he was confronting his son back then).

1. Carnage in "maximum carnage" there was so many killed people :D
2. Green Goblin (norman) not that he killed a lot of pepole but he killed important ones

I based my list on who has killed, and who is most likely to kill. Kingpin and Demogoblin are kind of a tie honestly, but I would guess Kingpin has been responsible for more deaths.

Don't forget Demogoblin died saving a boy's life.

Bullseye.

I know he's a Daredevil villian, but he has made appearances before. THat is coldhearted killer.

Carnage may edge him out,

Heh, Carnage can out-kill Bullseye any day IMHO. :)

I'm running with Carnage for a couple of reasons, first most villains can be bought off or reasoned with, his bat-$#it crazy mind cant be. Also, well, because I loved 90's comics they had more plot holes but for the most part they were more fun.

Carnage is the king in this debate hands down, along with his crew from Maximum Carnage (including Demogoblin). I think out of the others however, Hobgoblin is definitly the most heartless.

Also, Spider-Carnage from the '90's Cartoon series, he was going to destroy the entire Spider-Man multi-verse. That guy was a dick.

Spider-Carnage might be vicious (and psycho) but I think, the mass kill with be when Toxin starts his killing (brawn mixed with killer instinct anyone?), not that I have seen the Toxin comics.

Well Roddy never knew Peter's identity, so he couldn't have matched that one. If he had known who Peter was, I think he would have taken advantage of the information far more effectively than Norman did.

Most cruel Spiderman villain? McFarlane and his horrible artwork.... sorry I was re reading the Spiderman series from the 90's and with the exception of his webs man that guy bites. Has anyone else noticed the size of people's gums when he draws them. They're huge!

Carnage certainly does work well with his namesake.
Spider-Carnage would be the biggest by sheer scope, if he counts.
Though he did turn out to be kind of a pansy. All Spidey had to do was bring Uncle Ben in from a universe where he survived, and SC was reduced to a sobbing heap on the ground.

Peter Parker

Ben was like a father to SC, he's part human, so it was kind of an emotional moment for any kind of Peter Parker. lol

EDIT: I was just watching "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" episode 11 and II find the HobGoblin to be like a twin of the Joker. [insert maniacal laugh here]

Heh, no wonder. The attitude of Hobby is just maniacal though, sicko! :p If the Joker and Hobby work together...oh its too horrible to imagine...

Carnage wins hands down without a doubt! He's probably the guy in the Marvel Universe that's committed the highest body count. Well it's between him and The Punisher.

Peter Parker
10-23-2006, 05:45 AM
Yes but the Punisher kills the bad guys while Carnage does the opposite. ;)

Yes but the Punisher kills the bad guys while Carnage does the opposite. ;)Actually Carnage kills the bad guys as well as the good guys. He even kills the guys that can't decide if they're good guys or bad guys.

And the highest body count in Marvel belongs to Galactus.

I don't know about that, Hobby (Kingsley version) may actually have a higher body count than Norman, and certainly he's killed more than most Spidey baddies, at least 40 people were killed when he firebombed Norchem in Hobgoblin Lives. Plus there's the deaths of Leeds, Lefty and that nameless punk who originally found the Goblin gear to consider. Norman may have killed more important people, but I'm not sure he's killed more people, period. Though I could be forgetting something...

I agree with that. The guy has devoured many planets throughout the universe. How could I've forgotten Galactus? I wonder who has the highest body count in DC?

Peter Parker

Ah, but it feels kinda weird trying to feel as if Galactus if murderous when he's actually killing other species...just that weird feeling. lol

Ah, but it feels kinda weird trying to feel as if Galactus if murderous when he's actually killing other species...just that weird feeling. lolWell, he isn't murderous when he eats a planet.
It's what he has to do. He's more of a force of nature than anything else.
Doesn't affect his body count.

Doc Ock.

He tries to blow up whole citys and countries just to boost his own ego, and prove that he can.

Ock a sissy??  ;)

The reason he tried to marry her, if you read the story, was to bilk her out of an atomic facility she'd inherited, so he could build an arsenal of atomic weapons with it.

Yep, he was using her. And the silly old bag fell for it ;)

Well this is the most murderous Spidey Villain and by that count only it has to be Carnage. The dude is just straight psycho.
