There are also a few pages of SS #5. Wow... looks good. Very good.

Is Deadshot going to be beaten up by a team-mate in every fifth issue of a miniseries starring the Six? Because if so, damn, sucks to be him!

Was the Mad Hatter always this cool?

No. He wasn't. Regardless of which version showed up.

it’s not coincidence that their tormenters went by the name, “Society”)

Good god, I feel so stupid for not having noticed that.

Truthfully, I rarely bring this stuff up in interviews.

Glad you are doing interviews for them and you are not holding a grudge.

GS:I always liken Secret Six to this image...you’re walking down the street barefoot on a beautiful Summer day, eating the most perfect, delicious peach you’ve ever had, and suddenly you step smack into a dead cat’s corpse.

Who thinks of stuff like this?!?!?!?!?

Gail, I suppose.

But if its MY cat, someone's ass is SO getting handed to them.

Not exactly true. The truth is, I get about eight or nine interview requests a week (everything from Better Homes and Gardens to Bitch Magazine) and for the most part, I'm pretty burnt out on them, and prefer only to do them for friends, sites I like, or unusual venues.

A few people asked for similar interviews at the same time, and I accidentally said yes to this one when he rewrote (I thought it was with Wizard, frankly). So I was stuck. I felt saying no after realizing my mistake would be very crass indeed. So I kept my word, particularly since the interviewer, John Hayes, seems very nice and professional.

But I never would have done it had I realized. And after weeks of being reminded, I answered the questions and the thing finally went up, and on that same day, SBC's sub-literate monkey boy posted some stupid shit on the SBC message boards.

As I've said, I have no faith in those guys whatsoever...I think they like having a reviewer who poops on the floor for the spectacle value, and I have no trust in anything they say. John seems very nice, Beau is great, of course. Since Brandon left, I'm not that familiar with the rest of them.

But yeah, from now on, I'm going to be much more careful making sure I'm accepting the correct invitations.

I look at it like this--I don't even like doing interviews, and I can do only a very few in any given period. I feel no obligation to do anything for a site that has shown more than once that they're okay with a dimwit attacking me personally. Not critically, personally.

It's not like I'm Alan Moore. My not having anything to do with them won't affect them one whit. But I've asked them not to request anything more from me, period, ever.

So, while I wouldn't call it a grudge, I would certainly call it good common sense in who I associate with. Again, no reflection on John, who did a very nice interview, one of the best I've had in a while, actually.

I freely admit to being several issues behind on this---I think I need #3 and #4---so forgive me if I've missed something, but...

When's Pistolera coming back? You've gotta love a girl who can put a rifle bullet in a human target from a helicopter. The serape makes the (wo)man, and the dual revolvers called to mind promotional artwork for (I believe) The Outlaw Josey Wales. Far too much potential entertainment in a character like that to casually waste by, well, casually wasting.

Either way, I'm not sure if I should thank Ms. Simone for entertaining me or curse her for further draining my coffers. A most pleasant situation to be in! :)

sorry, shouldn't have brought it up. But John Hayes does seem like a nice guy.

Errrr....

OK. I can't do it. I'm just not THAT horrible of a person.

I actually liked the character.

Maybe a new Pistolera?

Absolutely. It'd be a welcome addition, whether as an ally or a (non-expendable, pretty please?) opponent.

It's GUN BUNNY, people! Pistolera is one of the worst names ever. I knew it was only a matter of time that she was cannon fodder once she changed her from Gun Bunny.

Aw, c'mon! Do it! Besides, you couldn't possibly say much worse about me than has been said by Noah Johnson and that Alix Harrower fellow. :D

Oh, that. Yeah, mustache dude did that. Went back and read those two issues last night before dozing off. Doing so reinforced my interest in the book, 'cause I was alternatively chuckling and nodding in approval of the writing.
