Weekly Poll 10/18/06: Which of these "dead" Avengers would you like to see return?

This week we want to know...
We already know that Thor is returning in a new series by JMS. Quasar is coming back after dying during Annihilation. And speculation is rampant that Mar-Vell is coming back in Civil War: The Return. But of the remaining Avengers who have "died" and not yet come back, who would you like to see return?

We know for that Quasar is coming back? Okay, then.

I voted Torch. He's an android. So it doesn't take much to bring him back and could technically be said to not be dead, having not really been alive in the first place.

I went with Jack of Hearts. I've just always liked the character and the "explosion in space/no body found" death is one of the easiest to explain away if one wanted to bring him back.

I didn't properly appreciate Mockingbird when she was alive, so I picked her.

I'd vote Mockingbird because she was my favorite of the list, but I sort of like Hawkeye as the grieving widow. Maybe if they brought her back without her memory, or as a villan. Some way to torture Hawkeye more, then I'd be OK with it.

The only other one on there I really like is Scott Lang.

I voted for Yellowjacket. I only read about her during the Crossing and it looked like in Timeslide that she was still alive but lost in time, That would be an easy way to return the ctharacter.

I always liked Thunderstrike. There was something quite interesting about a normal low class kinda guy having to live up to the reputation of a god.

Doctor Druid has always fascinated me. He was messed up! :D!
Bobby is a close second though.
I liked Jack of hearts ALOT more before he joined the Avengers and became a whiny annoyance.

Actually, we know QUASAR will be back....not Wendell Vaughn. I think it will be someone else with the bands.

I've never gotten to read anything of Ant-Man II and I hear pretty good things about him so I voted for him.

I loved Ant-Man and Jack of Hearts under Geoff Johns, and I could really live with any of them returning, if it's well done, but I voted "none" because I wanted to snicker.

One of the plots that Nicieza didn't have a chance to get to in the last Hawkeye series involved Hawkeye having to deal with the "new" Mockingbird - a graduate of the SHIELD program in honor of the deceased Mockingbird, wearing the same costume and the whole bit.

I vote for that version, otherwise, I actually DO think "dead is dead" is the way to go. Too many pointless deaths and resurrections as it is this way, making "death" stories just annoying because you know it's just months or years until they're overwritten, for the most part.

There's actually quite a few characters I like on this list. Scott Lang, Mockingbird, Torch. But I voted for Jack of Hearts. Johns did a lot to make him interesting, only to kill him off. Of course, Jack is an energy being, so bringing him back is relatively easy.

Jack of Hearts. As I kid, I loved the costume, and I liked his arrogant attitude and lack of complete control over his powers. Like Babylon23 stated, Johns DID make him more interesting, and I wasn't prepared for his death (which, though, was handled in an heroic fashion). Still, I'd love to see him back.

Mockingbird. She's eternally battling in Hell for no reason. If anyone should be brought back it's her, and quite frankly the idea that there was only one real attempt to rescue her from there is just plain depressing.
