I've rather been enjoying this real world take on superheros.
I saw episode four. And was just blown away by the ending. I thought episode 2's end was something, but this was also awesome.
At first I was thinking days of Future Past after the second ep, but this is more like Future Trunks from DBZ (which I know mainly from my friends talking and playing a video game with them). So basically Hiro has become like his hero Trunks in DBZ. He even has the jacket and sword.
Though just that Hiro went into the future and trained and comes in with a sword like that is pretty damn cool itself. Plus the comment about Peter having a scar was nice.
Also, Peter is kinda like Mimic from X-Men, which made that whole last scene interesting because Hiro was supposed to be all the way in Vegas. Then this bad ass version of geeky Hiro shows up out of the darkness. Awesome.
I don't know which surprise was better. This week's Heroes end, or last week's Lost ending. Both had me giddy and geeky with laughter over how just awesome they were.

Overall I was more impressed with Heroes then I was with Lost. Heroes ep after ep has been great whereas Lost is just grating on my nerves. I think if nothing convinces you as a comic fan to watch this show, then think about this, Jeph Loeb & Bryan Fuller are on the writing team....nuff said.

I wasn't much enamored with the first episode of Heroes, but each subsequent show has hooked me more and more. Kind of the exact opposite reaction I had to Lost.
I particularly like the "future comic book" that Hiro is using as his guidebook.

I'm ambivalent about the show. I really, really wish the characters would hurry up and become heroes rather than hapless schmucks. I keep seeing glimmers of that, which is why I keep watching.
This last episode had me watching the clock at times (the interminable "seducing the idiot politician" scene). But then some other scene would come along and reel me back in. (Claire's unique method of dealing with a rapist; the appearance of Future Hiro...)
The main villain had better not turn out to be the cliche he seems to be right now.
I will keep watching at least through Sweeps, which should give me a pretty good idea whether this is going to work out or not.
I feel sorry for "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," which airs after "Heroes" and has really been suffering in the ratings in large part because of having the most wildly incompatible lead-in in network television history. I may be one of about 25 people who watch both shows.

They don't really go together, but I don't think it's as bad as when "Angel" was on after "Seventh Heaven" :)

Heroes is great.
My only complaint is some of the acting is really weak, particularly Simone and Isaac.
Hiro and Ando are my favorites, followed by Mohinder and Pete.

I love the show. Unfortunate Dihimnitude that took place from the original plot but I still love the show.

Ugh, and that show is still on. 7th Heaven stays on instead of Everwood...I....just no.... there is no excuse. Bad WB BAD!!

Great show. But at times, they try to be too much like Lost: for instance, putting cryptic clues in completely nonsensical places (why the heck would that "f" symbol be on the cheerleader's geography book?) But that's my only complaint, and s long as they don't stretch it out for five seasons the way they're planning to do with Lost, this is shaping up to be an awesome show.

I love this show. It first it was going so slow, because of all the characters. But now it is fine with all the characters meeting other characters.

Alas, it has not made it's way to Australian airwaves. But neither did Desperate Housewives until about a year after the first episode aired over your ways.
But I've been hearing hella good things about it, so I may just start watching TV again to fill the hole new SVU left in me (WHY BENSON! WHY?).

I love Heroes. it's the only new show that i make sure I have to watch. I am loving both Claire and the Split-Personality Woman. I love how each episode is like an issue of the comics. Damn those ..to be continued's.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!! Love it, love it, love it. Hiro's a riot; he's my favorite by far. Leave it to the otaku to REALLY appreciate having powers. Check out his blog; it's geeky fun. Ando-kun is fun too. I like Mohinder all right... I can't say I really like Claire though her revenge on quarterback guy was awesome. But all my love is reserved for Hiro.
Oooh the bad-ass, time travelling version of Hiro was SO GREAT!! I was so surprised to hear his perfect english. I wonder where they got these actors? They're awesome!
On a PC level... I love the fact that the cast is multi-national and that the Asians aren't just stereotypical talking heads. (Though Ando-kun's english in Vegas, talking sh*t to thugs was funny.)

I was thinking of some of the names on the show. Peter Petrelli? No one in a comic book has a name like that, with all that alliteration. What kinda schmuck alliterates the names of their heros?
Also, who wants a comic book with the name Simone in it.
As for the actor who plays Hiro, I heard that at Comicon someone asked how well he spoke Japanese or if he did it phonetically. Then he talks for about a minute or so in Japanese and then goes, in English, "and that's how season one ends."

I'm finding the show fun. the cliffhangers almost make me want to hit someone but then that's pretty much what they're supposed to do, right?
Niki seems to not really have a power yet unless a psychological disorder counts.
Hiro and Ando are win.
