why is the kingpin featured on the back?
he doesn't appear anywhere inside...
i am assuming it's to show us what's in store for the next essential, should i write marvel demanding a no-prize?

Yes, yes you should... I'm a little disappointed though with the title though. I'm afraid I give your question a 2/10 on the mindblowing question scale. ;)

This brought a smile to my face man. I couldn't believe it when I read the question too....
How many more suckers are going to fall for it?

That's false advertising and could get Marvel into trouble for misleading people.

Umm... it's been, like, 5 years since the covers on a Marvel comic had any relevance to what goes on inside the covers.

I don't buy that. Look at the first 60 issues of Ultimate Spiderman. They feature Spiderman standing on the cover, with a slight variation in pose each time. He is also in the book. Completely relevant. There are many other comics which feature the main character posing on the cover, informing the reader, for example that She-Hulk will in fact appear in that issue of She-Hulk.

It's disingenuous but completely expected. Covers =/= content anymore.

Well, thank god for that. If an issue of She-Hulk comes out without She-Hulk on the cover, is it safe to say she won't be in her own comic?
Actually, I shouldn't kid. Peter doesn't always suit up in Ultimate Spider-Man, does he?

Which got very, very boring. That's why I'm liking the covers for Clone Saga so much.
