Does anyone hear read this manga?

I've browsed through it a couple times, but I never cared for the wispy style of the character illustrations.

uhhh.. 'kay. That was odd... double-post. Or, for a second there, dozen-post.

The battle has ended.
I liked the first three Abyssal Ones over this current group, glad it's over.
Curious to see what Raki and company will talk about.

How did you manage to dig up this thread. I though all the old ones were gone.
It's hard to beat Riful as a character when it comes to Abyssal ones. I did find it kind of funny that Cassandra just kind of walked off after all that but I guess she was only out for revenge. I'm also glad that Roxanne didn't win.

The biggest Claymore thread was merged with the anime/mange aficionado lounge II for some reason.
But there are three or four smaller ones like this in the archives. I made one myself oddly enough.

Isley was my favorite.... but Riful had the most screen time.
I thought Cassandra walking off was fitting.
Also, I liked the reveal that Teresa was instrumental in taking down Hysteria back in the day. Teresa was such a beast.

Yep. Cassandra is da shit when it comes to shit-talking and beating the shit out of shitheads.....And she likes to say "shit" a lot too.

I used to read the manga and I loved it for quite some time but since the chapters take forever to come out I've basically given up and haven't read it in probably 6-8 months....
It's cool though, I loved the anime so much that I just keep going back to it and I've seen it through at least 6x now, everything I need Claymore related I can get from the cartoon with no need to go back to the manga. Not to say that someday I won't, I am just content with what was put out in the anime that the manga really isn't all that important to me, to be honest.

Love the fact that Hysteria when she was alive was almost killed by Teresa before she even became a Number 1.

I always wondered how it is that half breeds like claymores were stronger than pure yoma...... now I know.
There were no pure blooded yoma, they were just humans infected by the organization.

I follow it but the quality took a nose dive after the timeskip.
still sort of enjoy it.

I haven't read the comic but I loved the anime cartoon, it was action packed and full of awesomes music!

I watched the anime last winter. I really liked the premise of it, although I considered it a bit too slow-paced for me at times. I was recommended the manga, I heard it's much better and apparently there are many more Claymores. It was a nice series to pass the time with but it just didn't do it for me.

I have enjoyed this manga so much and really liked all the characters. I love how Teresa has always been a beast and was instrumental in bringing down Hysteria. I hear that chapter 126 is the last chapter of the manga but I was just hoping that it was the end of the arc anyone who reads this know if it was.

I heard it was getting a sequel, I'm sorry if I don't have the link but I honestly hope it does. While the series has gotten a little stale I did like the latest twist that the yoma are actually human that have been infected with a dragon like parasite.

As far as I know they said the anime will never have a sequel to it, I'm not sure about the manga but I know the manga was either ending soon or has already ended. I'm not sure which since I was more of a fan of the anime than I was the comic.
Either way, Claymore as an anime was phenomenal and I would love to see it end up on Toonami for a run someday, though I don't think that will ever happen. Who knows what the future brings I suppose, but yeah......love me some Claymore. :)

Um... the manga is still ongoing. The anime only covered the first 11 volumes, and the 22nd volume has come out in Japan. There's still no end in sight. EDIT: Unless of course you show me the news of the end in the following post... EDIT EDIT: And not even then, since Vol 23 and more have been coming out in Japan.
I'd love to see an anime sequel, but they might have to ignore the finale of the first series, which was quite a bit different from the manga at that point. (In the manga, Clare wouldn't run into Priscilla for more than seven more years!)

So, what was with the "END" at the end of last chapter if the next one picks up right were it left off without even a new subtitle?
Oh well, Deneve is awesome.

Things are getting interesting.
I think they should have tried to kill Priscilla though.
The rewards outweighs the risks.

So.... um..... guys.... Priscilla is like.... right behind you ya know.
I wonder how Cassandra compares to Isley..... I get the feeling we'll see through her battle with Priscilla.

Priscilla and super-fusion aside, nobody's really compared favorably against Isley so far.

So, Isley having been the most awesome character in the series is now confirmed as canon. The fact that the current warriors couldn't have beaten him is also confirmed.
Also, that's a development I didn't foresee at the end there.

Wait, so are Priscilla and that writhing mass so powerful that even the remains of Riful are drawn to them or something? I have no idea what's going on now.

yeah, you can say that again.
you thought it would be something really terrible if all those guys that blanched when Theresa started disrobing-- but if THAT's all it is-- heck, for some guys it wouldn't even slow them down. I was expecting/hoping for something a little bit more disturbing then a bunch fo stiches. it's so anti-climactic that it's not even worth putting spoiler tags up.

I don't know if this is what the arthor was going for, but it seems that the scar has been a bigger issue to the warriors than it has been to any of the normal humans that have seen it. I wonder if it's just especially reprehensible to them because it represents their transformation at the hands of the Organization. They hate it more than normal people would.

It's not just a scar. It's a permanent wound that won't heal unless they awaken. The stitches hold the skin together. Otherwise their blood and guts would spill out. I think most people would be very troubled with a permanent wound.

new chapter is taking a strange turn. I can only hope that the most interesting villain in the manga is somehow making a bonafide comeback... even though we've been told that it's NOT Riful... it could at least have her entertaining personality.

I love this series, but it just seems to be a downer so much. Always like the world is against you, there's no way out, and everybody dies. (Though technically things tend to get better, and not everyone dies, but you get my point that that's the feel it gives.)
I don't expect it to be shining rainbows and sunshine, but jeez, it doesn't always have be so bleak, y'know?

Never read Gantz then.

Never read Gantz then.
Hah hah, tried it, hated it. Probably one of the very few who didn't enjoy Gantz. I found it bloody and graphic for simple shock value with very little story value at all. Though granted, that was my view of just the first ten chapters, I couldn't continue after that.
