I thought this was a very nice interview with PAD discussing Spidey unmasked, Deb Whitman, Mysterio, Flash and other subjects.

So the Uncle Ben storyline will continue with a tie-in with the return of The Sandman.

I noticed this part of the interview:
Quote:
"PAD: Fans believe there’s a clue to her true nature in her name. They are correct. I’m not saying, though, that the connection to “Marrow” is necessarily the right interpretation."
Now this brings some speculation.
My one is when "The Other" arrived in our world she apeared in the tunnels (where its dark and save) when thinking on how she should call her self, she touched a wall with names writen on it.
These names where the ones of Gene Nation members (having wrote them on the wall when they arrived) and her hand was next to the letters A, R, R, O and W with her hand on the M.
This would funny as hell :p (making the name a red fish).
On the other hand i will keep watching the backround of the next issues if there are two glowing eyes in the shadows, when Miss Arrow apears then i beginn to get sceptic.
Anyway its nice of him to bring more spotlight into Spidermans non family or avengers support character including Flash, who i still think is an important part of Peters backstory.

This is pretty obvious, but the first issue or TPB will be released around the same time as the third movie.

Good interview. Peter David always does a great job of eliciting interest in his stories without relying on hype, I like that.

Just got through the interview. David is a pretty good writer. I really don't care for the mythical aspect of Mysterio though. I don't really like that idea at all. I mean I see how it was a progression, but Peter is a science guy. Once the Iron suit is gone what will he do to take him? How can you beat a mystical creature? These questions come to mind. I know many are going to say look at Thor, but honestly never been a huge fan of Thor. I like spidey cause their are concrete things happening in some way. I mean yea it's a comic, but you kinda see my point?
I like how he is stressing Peter's cast. I have obviously discussed this before on here. I am glad to see someone bringing some characters back from the past. However, I think we need some regular cast members. I mean when their was a group dynamic (i.e. Gwen, MJ, Harry, Flash, Liz, etc.) it was handled better. We haven't seen this for a couple years now. The last time I can think, I am going to say it, is when Mackie wrote the book, "The Stacy's". That particular relationship is not what I think he needs, but like I said a group of friends.
It is also clear the FNSM is really a supporting book. I want to see this group dynamic going on in all the books. It is almost starting to seem that the books don't affect the others at all. I don't mean an incessant amount of crossovers, please no, but at least a mention. I just can't wait for Civil War to be over and some normalcy to return.
Has anyone else noticed on the marvel.com weekly books list how many spidey books come out in a week? There are four books, if you count USM, and they should come out on the standard four weeks of the month. This would be perfect, and I don't understand why they don't....

Once again Peter David has got the short end of the continuity stick. He has to write a story about everyone knowing who Spider-man is and having it be treated as a secondary title of a spinoff series. Unmasking should of been the biggest story of Spider-man's history, that was wasted completely.

How has it not been the biggest story of SM history? Every book has carried it since its conception. Every book is/has told stories about Peter dealing with his identity being public. Every book is going to continue to tell stories of his identity being public. I think thus far in the amount of issues that have actually featured stories about unmasking it is way more then any other major events....
