Hi CBR community, i used to be a heavily dedicated comic book fan when i was younger and i accumulated over 50 pounds of superman/spiderman/batman/green lantern/punisher/etc comic books and read them over and over again constantly, all day, every day. Comic books were my dream, I was captivated by their edgyness and amazing artwork, however this didnt last for long. My mother made the decision that the books were bad for me and immediately hauled my stash away to the dump (no she didnt do the smart thing and hide them somewhere) and ive basically hated my family since, but whatever, i'd like some assistance in naming a few of my old favorite books.

There was a epic superman book printed about how superman lost his cape to a cyborg version of himeself and he and his gang had to defeat the machine army that the cyborg had created in his north pole lair.

The next is a batman comic, the authors decided to get futuristic and batmans garb was recreated and he looked like a total pimp, i remember the scene as being he decends from the darkness in a manhattan subway into the middle of a gang/robbery firefight and totally dominates everyone.

The other is a spiderman episode, i was basically in love with venom and carnage because they are brutal as hell, but this episode had about a 2-4 page foldout detailing the many faces of spiderman, in him futuristic costume, the black costume, the traditional red costume, and some other one that i cant seem to remember.

Thanks ahead of time, comic books are fucking badass epic dreams realised.

Sounds like part of the "Reign of the Supermen/Return of Superman" storyline (after the death storyline) from 1993...

Same time frame (1993)... Sounds like the Knightfall story line...

you are absolutely right, i found the exact book on amazon, or at least it seems like it is
http://www.amazon.com/Return-Superman-Bob-Kahan/dp/1563891492

also, the knightfall storyline looks pretty familiar, i saw bane in one of the pictures i found on Knightfall and his character is all too familiar with the episodes i used to read

thanks so much, im ordering these all so i can reexperience them
