This story is Roy Thomas's attempt to reconcile Marvel's Thor, Wagner's Ring Cycle, and Kirby's Eternals. So, yeah, it has a lot of random continuity gymnastics, and it probably helps to have some background on each of those factors going on.

I'm not sure if Volume Two has been scheduled, yet, but it should be forthcoming relatively soon.

This is the follow up to the release of Jack Kirby's "Eternals" omnibus. "Eternals" deals with the coming of the Celestials, but was cancelled mid-story, then later finished in the pages of Thor.

Pax.

I just finished Kirby's Eternals and I'm about 1/3 thru this trade. Good stuff! It still seems to be building at this point and I can't wait for it to reach some kind of climax.

And there has been, what, 4 Eternals volumes now?
