Any comments on the Max Sampler?

I missed out on this thing because I order through mail order and it wasnt offered. Since no one else has mentioned them since its been out I have a few questions. Were the stories in it new stories, or just small parts of the Max minis that will be coming out in the future? How did it look art wise and story wise?

It was just art previews. Very attractive art, but no stories.
