After an amazing season, then beating the New York Yankees and now
beating the Oakland A's they have claimed the American League penant.

As I live in the suburbs of Detroit, I can tell you first-hand that this is a BIG deal. Finally, after 20 years, we're a baseball town again. Amazing. And when Magglio nailed that ball outta the park, with everything on the line, the town went crazy. In a good way -- no rioting this time. ^_^

I hope whoever caught that ball clung onto it like dear life. It's a piece of history now.
