View Full Version : Favourite rare appearence character?

The Fury

After seeing Pro's fantastic drawing of the character 'Amalgam', she has swiftly become a new favourite characters due to the concept only. But's she's only ever been seen twice.

But what rare character (one or 2 issues only or a couple more...not not many) is your favourite?

Also, see this as a good opportunity to give said character some much needed publicity, if we ever want to see them again that is. Also, lets people who don't know them, learn about them.

That would have to be Sikorsky. I'm really hoping we see him when the Starjammers appear in Uncanny in a few months.

Well for me obviously Amalgam :).

Working out a storyconcept for her and if it's anything near decent i might send it to marvel for review.

I'm a big fan of Silver Age character Larry Trask. I thought he was full of potential (and hey, the X-Men books could use another precog now) and I'd rejoice if someone brought him back from the dead.

What about the Gamesmaster? The omnipath who was supposedly behind the whole Upstart thing. Never knew what happened to him after the upstart game went to shit ..

The Gamesmaster was challenged directly by the mutant Paige Guthrie (later known as Husk), who argued that a greater game would be to compete with Charles Xavier and others like him who hoped to find and guide the next generation of mutants. The Gamesmaster agreed and allowed the heroes to leave.

Damn, you beat me to it! :D

Yeah Tangerine was great, and the current line-up desperately needs a real Psi-talent. i.e. NOT SAGE

She appeared twice, although bother were alternate future versions of the character - One from the Britain of Days of Future Past, the other from a timeline which could have occured if Excalibur had not beaten black air.

A mainstream Marvel Universe similar to the Alan Davis DOFP Tangerine could be easily introduced.

I've always hoped she would be. She was always refered to as an Empath more than a telepath, but that doesn't mean her powers might not have a greater potential.

Although exactly how easy it would be to sell a woman with a giant tangerine coloured afro... maybe a makeover. I prefere the Days of Future Tense design. Tragically 90s though it was...

I think sometimes the rare appearance characters are the best part!

Sometimes they don't appear after their debut, but when there's enough thought into that appearance that he/she can garner fans, I think that's pretty cool.

There's still that level of intrigue, mystery, and potential that you don't see in a lot of the long-running characters.
