Forget what you know about the Marvel Universe. This is the Marvel IN-verse, the Marvel Vice-Versa. A flipped-out, topsy-turvey, upside-down version of Marvel Comics. In this "Bizarro-world," everything you know is wrong-- what once was good is now evil, what once was black is now white. Where heroes are villains . . . and villains are heroes.

Presenting: 4-Victory, Avengers, The Brotherhood, and more!

This week, it's The Brotherhood #2, featuring a Flipped-out version of Cyclops! The Brotherhood must help a troubled youth from the biggest threat of all-- himself! Can The Brotherhood overcome their own petty bickering to help him, or will they fall victim to the power of CYCLOPS and his HELLFIRE GANG?

Interesting; the covers have decent art the concept though I've seen it before is a good one and done well.

I also like the old school way you do the stories.

Thanks for your comment, Gumbo Max! Sometimes I wonder how often people are reading the stories and who is just looking at the art (not that I mind that!) AFAIK, although the concept may have been used before, it was only so that heroes could fight evil versions of themselves. I don't think that it was done for the villains, AND have those villains-turned-heroes interact. It's kind of weird how "easy" some of these characters lend themselves to heroism (or villainy as the case may be).

Harry Osborn, the Gremlin has a lot to learn about being the son of the Green Goblin. . . almost as much as he has to learn about being the son of Norman Osborn. He finds a connection in someone going through some of the same issues: Warren Worthington III, who has a secret of his own...

4-Victory #5
. . . in which a humble toymaker is murdered
. . . in which the Fantastic Girl seems the only culprit
. . . in which various members fall in love

Whoo-hoo! My Flipside website has just flipped over to 2,000 hits! Well, *I* think it's an accomplishment, anyway. Thanks to anyone who may have clicked on it from over here.

As a special 2,000 hit bonus post, I've gone ahead and detailed my own personal drawing habits, entitled "How to Draw Comics the Flipside Way." Not that I have anything special to say about it, but I love the process of art sometimes just as much as the final product. Check it out! If you like it, let me know. I've been thinking that if there's an interest, I can also share some specifics like how I make the faux covers, Photoshop tricks, storytelling, etc.

You should do these with your own characters or derivative ones so you can sell them.

Thanks, Mar! Honestly, I never really considered that before. Self-publishing seems easier than ever nowadays, so I might just have to give that more thought. In the meantime, tho, I'm content just playing around in the Marvel Universe. Always had since I was a little kid, it's just a bit more public in the iGeneration.

Thanks, Boos! (And FWIW, I have managed to avoid using the term 616 anywhere on my site, and will be trying to do so as long as I can!)

In other news, I almost forgot to post here saying that Green Goblin & the Gremlin #3 is now available! Guest-starring the world's most bizarre scientific investigator: Doctor Octopus!

Yikes! I forgot to tell you guys about my recent updates. Since I've last been here, I've posted Avengers #4 and The Brotherhood #4. One of them features the Phoenix like you've never seen him before, and the other features Nightcrawler like you've never seen him before. I'll let you figure out which one has which. :)

Enjoy the Flipside!

Heads up! More Flipside updates, and now that we're back off the holidays, hopefully we're back at the every-Monday release date. What you might have missed? 4-Victory #6 and Green Goblin & The Gremlin #4!

I was initially a little disappointed in the way this cover came out. It was another example of Kirby using disproportionate character layouts. (Heresy? I hope not! Otherwise it's a pretty classic cover!) Kirby's Thor, Melter, Radioactive Man... they all seemed squished, perhaps shoehorned in.

At any rate, here is my Flipside rendition.

As always, full size covers and a fanfic are posted on the site.

Now showing, The Brotherhood #5, featuring the debut of the Incorrigible Iceman! Oh, and the Flipside Savage Land, which is ruled by the kindly Garokk the Sun God. Also introducing Zala, who will have much to add to the Flipside universe I'm sure!

Hey all. It's been a while since I stopped by. Just checking out all the talent here is pretty inspiring. It's nice to know that talent and inspiration isn't a rare thing.

If you haven't checked out my Flipside site, I want you to know that I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon. I've had a few updates, one being a Flipped-out version of the Lizard that I don't think anyone would guess. The other is a series of sequential panels that was the original form of 4-Victory until I changed my mind to publish tons of fanfic rather than the trickle of panels.
