Post which albums you think have the best art/covers.

In The Court Of The Crimson King - King Crimson (fits the feel of the album so well)

Master of Puppets - Metallica (it's part of the reason I even bought the album)

Disraeli Gears - Cream (psychedelic? I think so!)

Welcome to Sky Valley - Kyuss (it's got that desert feel, ya know?)

I think that the cover fits the dissonance of lead-off track "21st Century Schizoid Man" and the eerieness of "In Court of the Crimson King" moreso than the rest of the album. Much of it is really just dressed-up British psychedelia which is why I've always thought that In the Court of the Crimson King was a good, but fairly overrated album. (Never mind the presence of "Moonchild" dragging the rest of it down.) In the context of the rest of KC's catalogue, it probably fits Starless and Bible Black and Red much better, when King Crimson hit its stride and the band focused more on the instrumental aspects while putting the gnarled aspects of "21st Century Schizoid Man" to the forefront.

That said, I'd love to see this album issued on a special vinyl edition just so I could hand it on my wall. (Or outside the house on Halloween to frighten small children!)
