I sure as hell did when i first moved here to Socorro from Omaha in may 1989! then in June of the summer i saw this movie in the theater at the age of 7 and was blown away by the film, i loved it and became one of my favorite movies ever.
I had a t-shirt with the Bat logo, trading cards, a magazine on the movie, played the video game, ate the cereal, my mom bought me the movie for christmas and i even enjoyed watching the campy 60's show on the Family channel. Yes sir, this made me into a Batman fan as well as a Superman fan! this was the best Batman movie until now with "Begins" which is now the definitive Batman movie, well now that i watch this movie as an adult it's more of a "Joker" movie but it's still a solid and entertaining flick and will always have a place in my heart for making me into a Bat fan.

I was nine. My parents thought it looked too violent. So I saw it on video a year later.
Having been 27 in 1989, all I can say is Good God you guys make me feel old.

In 1989 I was in... 6th grade? I think. I was out of ElEd in 1991 and since it was a June flick I was getting out of 6th and going into 7th grade. However, I remember going to see it in the theater and liking it. I probably even have Prince's "Batdance" single on cassette buried somewhere in my closet back in New Jersey.

Yea, I remember. Good movie. Not the best do to the fact that this Batman killed and in the comic the Batman never kills. I still think that Batman Begins is one of the best Batman movies out there. I just hope The Dark Knight don't suck. (Come on serius Joker??? I want the Mad man laughing psycho killer Joker.) But Tim Burton did turn up a good movie. In fact two of them. But at lest we'll never have someone like Joel Schumacher make another Batmovie. I also find it funny when this movie came out everyone said that Michael Keaton could not even play as Batman and he would suck. And when Batman & Robin came out everyone said that they wished that Michael Keaton would come and play Batman agin.:)
Batman- Cool movie.
Batman Returns- Not as good as the frst one but still good.
Batman Forever- Just sucked. Crapy movie no matter what.
Batman & Robin- Die Schumacher die!!! talk about worst movie ever made.
Batman Begins- Batman back and he's even better than before.
The Dark Knight- I hope it's as good as the last one.

Oh yeah. I was 7 years old when the film made it's debut and I can't really describe the amount of excitement I had over wanting to see this movie. Actually, I consider Batman 1989 one of the best marketed films of all time. Because everything associated with the film only made you want to see it more, and more as time started to draw near to it's release date. And boy, was I NOT disappointed in what I saw. The film looked very much UNlike anything I had seen previously, a haunting score, and Keaton as well as Nicholson just flat out rocking in their respective roles. Great movie, IMO. As well as one that brings back some very fond memories. :)

I was in college when it came out. I went to see it in a theater near my apartment. It was the first time I'd ever been in a movie theater where literally every seat was filled.

I was about ten when it came out. First movie I can remember where the queue at the theatre went around the block and beyond. The anticipation was immense.

I was 23, and had been looking forward to it for a year. I enjoyed it over all; but it was rather slow in parts. Batman Returns was a much better film.

I was 11. I didn't see it in the theaters because I was too young for it and my parents never go to the movies. But I did watch it on cable. I still think it's the best one of the bunch.
