Just got back from seeing the Who (my favorite band of all time), love the way Gen13 came out, and have some top-secret projects coming up that, honest to god, if I'd chosen from a list of possible things to work on, I could not have come up with anything more thrilling than these.
And Steve Gerber loved my Black Alice/Dr. Fate script.
IT'S A DAMN GOOD WEEK.
Thanks for making all this stuff happen, honestly.

We're happy you're happy.
We're also happy that we get good stories to read.
... and have some top-secret projects coming up that...
Gail
We're not happy that you tease us in this manner.
But we're willing to let it slide.

The fact that you have even more surprises in projects makes me happy.
P.S. I can now buy comics after a two month hiatus (not many comics, mind you, but I have that option now), so I am ready form some good stuff.

Howard the Duck won't be usurping Detective Chimp, will he?

The Who?!?
Feh. Kids' stuff. They were a commercial band, and never tried to say otherwise (there's nothing wrong with being commercial, as long as you try to be commercial with artists in your midst, and Pete and Keith were artists supreme).
My last involvement with any of them was when Roger gave me a fishing rod to pull trout out of his "reservoir". It really fit the template of "shooting fish in a barrel", because I didn't even need to bait the hooks; the dumb creatures were so bored that they'd bite anything.
Beautiful place, though; relaxing and getting your head together is so much easier when the land around you is so beautiful.
But the Who?!? Even they didn't take themselves seriously. Let's talk Kinks, shall we?

I love the Kinks, but I think that's a really shallow view of the Who, actually.

It's their own view. Being typically English, they don't take themselves too seriously.
Also being typically English, I gladly support anyone who holds* such a perspective.
* "I gladly support the Who who hold"?
You don't get many chances to use a double 'who'.
