Hi everyone -- I'm new to the CBR forums -- used to use Crawlspace way back when but that seems to have closed its doors. Didn't see anywhere else to place these so I'm putting them here.
I don't draw professionally; haven't taken any art classes, either. I just like to draw whenever I have some spare time -- helps me de-stress from work/studies/life. Grew up on a steady stream of J. Lee, Campbell, and Quesdada books -- loved the Image stuff in particular. These are two I did this year that showcase two of my favorite DC characters. I don't spend much time cleaning things up so these are in rough pencil form.
Feel free to comment. Always love to hear them -- pos. or neg. FYI: I posted the Supes one a while back on SHH, just in case we have anyone from there on these boards ;-)
Enjoy!

I like it, has a gentle feel and a hint of manga in there.
Superman does look particularly girly, though.
You should make him more manly, people already laugh at him as it is with the underwear on the outside and all... ;)
You should have posted this on the Never Ending Forums, itīs where all them artsy folks hang and show their doodles. ;)

Brandon Routh looked kind of girly as Superman too.
By the way love your pictures especially the Wonder Woman pic.

It may be the manga influence, but the characters appear too young, especially in the first one. Clark and Lois look teenaged. Maybe that was the intent, though. Other than that, these are great!

thx -- they do look young -- i was influenced by routh/bosworth on the supes pic so they do appear younger than we want them to be. fyi: i thought both of them were too young-looking in the movie, too ;-)

Good looking work, especially with no training. I never had any training and I draw worse than a six year-old.
I got first real introduction to comics through Image. To bad that gold Wildcats cover is worth naught. All the same, good stuff man. Hope to see more.

Nah that's not pervy. It's pretty accurate. If she has breasts that SMALL then they wouldn't hang down as much (typically) and shouldn't be heavily lined all the way around. Making the breasts proportionately larger OR doing away with such heavy under-lining would make her look a bit more feminine. Her face is adorable but the chest could pass for a guy who put two oranges down his shirt.
I say this as a very general comment though. Wonder Woman does not have to be overtly "feminine" to be appealing and there are many body types out there. So *shrug*
I like the Superman and Lois pic the most. Dunno why but the faces seem so charming and just... pretty. :)

Not as girly as the Smallville guy.

LOL -- when I was much younger, I think my women were drawn disproportionately -- since then, I've tried to develop a more realistic look (not Alex Ross real, but more proportionately correct).
Bigger gazongas? may be for the next one ;-)
