Each week or so we'll have a poll to determine the forum's current feel on a topic. Feel free to submit a poll idea if you have one!

This week we want to know...

Of those Avengers who have never been a mainstay (whether honorary, provisional, official, or otherwise) on an Avengers East Coast roster , who would you like to most see join either the New or Mighty teams?

Stingray at 100 percent. Marvel, can't you sense the overwhelming demand and add Stingray now?

Human Toch. Funny.

Anyways, I could eliminate a few pretty easily. Arachne and U.S.Agent will be in Canada shortly. Thing's already there. Darkhawk is with the Loners. Machine Man is with Nextwave. Human Torch is currently dead. And the Two-Gun Kid, even if I could overlook the time-travel problem, wouldn't add much to a team.

So, that left me with Demolition Man, Firebird, Moon Knight, and Stingray. Although I find Demolition Man interesting, people have issues with him. He probably wouldn't sell well. Moon Knight, by his nature, is an individual. He probably shouldn't be on the Avengers, but if some feel he needs to be added, I'd wait until he's done sorting through stuff in his own mag. I find Firebird dull. Busiek tried to make her interesting, but there was little follow-up. So, she's out.

That leaves the aquatic, scientific character of Stingray. Being one of the more underused characters in the Marvel universe, I feel he deserves something, especially considering some of his work in the past. So, out of the options provided, I'd most like to see him on one of the teams.

Anyways, I could eliminate a few pretty easily. For anyone else considering this based on present circumstances, you don't really have to. The poll is just to see who, if any, you'd like to be added to one of the rosters.

For instance, it wouldn't be that difficult to have those Avengers that have or are running away to Canada or France return.

Human Torch is currently dead. And I almost left him off, but if Vision can be rebuilt so can the Torch.
And the Two-Gun Kid, even if I could overlook the time-travel problem, wouldn't add much to a team.No time-travel problem given that he currently resides in the present.

I meant the time travel problem of him being in the present in the first place.

And the 100% for Stingray has been ruined! What're we going to do?

Absolutely nothing...

"None, thanks" got my vote. I really don't have any interest in these characters, except Arachne, and I'm honestly not interested in seeing her as an Avenger. Jessica's doing the Spider-Woman-as-Avenger thing, and she's been damn interesting, so I'll just stick with her.

I was gonna go with Stingray, but at the last minute Living Lightning said "Hay Gurl, promote your people! It's national coming out day." and I buckled.

but big honorable mentions to Stingy.

Toss up between Arachnae and Firebird. I went for Firebird, cuz she's awesome and I still haven't got over the "wow" when she laid the smackdown on Thor. With words.

Firebird would be my choice out of those since I always thought she should have a longer period of time with the Avengers after liking her in both Kurt Busiek's Avengers run and Beyond.

I went for Arachne, she has stolen the spotlight in Ms Marvel and I want more, more, MORE damn you! Firebird is pretty cool aswell so a bit moreof her would be appreciated.

My picks would be U.S. Agent and Grimm. But since U.S. Agent going to be in Alpha flight, I guess Grimm would be the only choice. Theres no way Marvel could not have Thing a comic book for period of time. His solo title a was pretty good.

It comes down to Firebird, Living Lightning, Arachne and Stingray for me.

Some of the other characters interest me but don't quite fit for me as Avengers. US Agent, for example. I'd like to see more of D-Man, but not in an Avengers book. He wouldn't easily fit into the current plots, but I'd like to see Ed Brubaker write him down the line, either in DD or Cap.

I'd have liked to have seen Jocasta as an option, I'd love to see her back.

I think given a good run, Firebird could develop into a great character, but her costume is awful and difficult to get past.

I like Arachne but one Spider-Woman and one Spider-Man is enough for now; be great to have her back as an Avenger at some point, but not now.

Right now I'm with Living Lightning - someone in need of some page time to flesh his character out a little and give him more depth. The potential is there, and I;d like to see it realised.

Demolition "D-Man" Dunphy! You D'Man, D-Man!

D-Man or "The Thing." I do so like big dumb punching thugs!

All of these are "been there, done that" for me. So I was about to say None, Thanks, until I did a second take at the Thing. I think the Thing has the chance to really be an icon of the Marvel Universe, and I think that he should be included in Earth's Mightiest. (I know he was in West Coast Avengers 20 years ago, but that story was more "should he or shouldn't he join." We never got to see any interaction beyound that.)

I voted for U.S Agent solely because of him being the best fit in post civil war Might Avengers. He is a government agent and should have been on the forefront of the pro side.
