The Poor Man's Version Thread / Game Thingy

Hi,

I am always amazed at how many actors working today have a "one off" or "cut rate" version of themselves that has a slightly different sometimes creepier look about them. There were a trio in the 80's. The Stoltz, McCarthy, Spader triumvirate. You could interchange each one of them if you wanted to go, creepy (Spader), everyday sweet (stoltz or MacCarthy), Monied (Spader or McCarthy). This got me to thinking about game. I name an actor and you give me the "Direct to DVD" or "interchangeable' version of that actor. This mostly has to do with looks. Then you give one and so on.

(Example: If you wanted Daryl Hannah but could not afford her you would get Lori Singer)

So I'll Start with an Easy one..

If you want Matthew Modine, but creepier you'd hire....

As for creepier, I'm not sure, but I always found him to be relatively interchangeable with Timothy Hutton and Patrick Dempsey.

Maybe this isn't working the way I thought. Me My money is on Crispen Glover. That guy is Modine Extra creepy.

Perhaps this is too subjective?? I am going to list the ones I find are interchangabel and anyone interested can add ones they think work. Sorry about this. it's a work in Progress.

Daryl Hannah - Lori Singer

Tom Hanks - Steve Guttenburg ( in the 80's they may have well been the same person)

Kirstie Ally - Meg Foster (If you want a Kirstie Ally that will scare the pants off of you.)

Bill Paxton - Michael Biehn (james Cameron seems to think so.. )

For me, Bill Pullman is the guy you geet when you Jeff Daniels is busy, or Vice versa.
