It could be Frank Miller, the hot dog vendor. Although I heard he has a very acute sense of humor.

Ah. That'll do.
So should I take it as a compliment?
I knew Dave read the blog, didn't know he'd shown it to his boss.

Why should it NOT be considered a compliment? You think he's being sarcastic?

It's the source.
It's like, if John Byrne complimented me on my sensitivity to other's feelings, would it really be a compliment?
This is Frank Miller finding a joke about sexism in comics funny.

i recently bought Dark Knight Returns and i've got to tell you, i'm already excited. if Miller gave you a compliment, mad props, yo.
but my grandmother always taught me, if your skilled, doesn't matter if the president gives you a compliment. your satisfaction should come from your own confidence in your work, not that of an important person

You can never have enough hookers.
That's an axiom I live by.

I don't think he was talking about the joke, I think he enjoyed the panels themselves.

Took long enough for someone to make that joke.
Incidently, I knew it was a compliment, I just:
1) thougth it was ironic being complimented on mocking mysoginist comics by someone who writes 'em.
2) needed a way to brag!
