From the first guys review, it looks that way:

Before getting into the story, I would like to say this book shows how collections should be done. It is a very nice volume that actually addresses some of the problems and concerns from the original work. The book collects all seven issues of Crisis (each issue seperated by both the Jim Lee and George Perez covers,) but it also contains corrections and changes designed to make the story read better. Several pages have been added to flesh out certain sequences, a confusing sound effect has been removed from late in the book (greatly improving the scene it was in,) and dialogue was added in other places to better explain what is going on (as well as to explain the condition of a certain character.) Several other pages were redone to take advantage of the extra time the art team now has as compared to the time they had while under deadline -- the double page spread at the end of the book showing the remaining heroes being a notable example.

I'm pretty sure I can guess what the "confusing sound effect" was, but just wondering if anyone on here has picked this up yet.

Oh right, I meant to link to Paul Newell's piece on CBR on the blog.

I think I'll do that now!

I didn't get the monthlies but a lot of what people complained about is fixed. It's still not a great story, too much happens in the cross over issues and you're left feeling like you saw a clips show. But in all it's good.

what i was really hoping they'd do is integrate the fight between the two supermen (the "this is your life" storyline). while i dont expect them to have dumped the entire 3 issues in there, they definitely should have expanded upon things a little. oh well.

I really liked it. And I generally hate cross-overs. I'm a big fan of "Bunch of stuff happening all at once" books. Felt like a big Bob Haney two-part Brave and the Bold story.

Well, sort of.

And some of it was just funny, in a really unique way. Superman punches heaven make Wonder Woman join the Justice League? That's like pseudo-science thrice removed.
That's pretty cool.

So when I bought the single issues, including the incomplete fight scene in the last one, I was buying a "beta" version of the story?

That's pretty... cheap.

Yeah, so what's the damn point of rushed unfinished monthly comics? Nevermind that a number aren't even shipping monthly.

Infinite Crisis was mostly fanboy pornography anyway. I've been a DC fan for a few years and just wasn't impressed with the story. I grew up with a Post-Crisis DC and I never read the original. Now they got this event feauturing my favorite characters and how can I not read it? Of course, I later learn that my faovrite DC character (Dick Grayson) was supposed to die in it until they realized the fans would kill them if they did and they quickly half assed edited out his death.

So yeah, if you ask me, Infinate Crisis is far from fixed.

Now the mini-series like Secret Six or OMAC Project (Rucka's). Those were neat. The Space one was just ok.

Yeah,, they totally should have pulled a MARVEL and just delayed a good chunk of the line, that would have been SOOOOO much better and completly professional

It's not an either/or thing for me, they should have had the majority of the series in the can and ready to go to avoid any significant delays.

It only comes down to choosing between massive delays or rushed products if your planning is poor.
