It's a toss-up between "Love, Reign O'er Me" and "Eminence Front". If I REALLY had to choose just one, Eminence would win out, although I'd have to say Who's Next is there best album.
EDIT: and what do you need luck for? It's THE WHO!!! I'd love to be in your shoes for that show...

With Keith and John both gone, I have a hard time viewing this as the Who. Really, after Keith's death, the Who started edging more and more toward sounding like Pete's solo albums - not that that's a bad thing at all, but it's not the Who.
Still, I hope it's an enjoyable show. So, good luck.
As to favorite Who song... geez, that's almost as tough as naming one Beatles song.
"I Can See For Miles", "Behind Blue Eyes", "My Generation", "Who Are You?", "Won't Get Fooled Again"... plus all the wonderful lesser tunes like "Getting In Tune" and "Pictures of Lily" and all the TOMMY stuff... how does one pick from all that?
Favorite album is easy, though. WHOS NEXT. No contest.

They have a new song, Good Lookin' Boy, that ranks up with anything they've done, I think. Hearing Roger do it solo is heartbreaking.

I would almost say that "TOMMY" is my favorite album, but then it just reminds me of the movie and I'm pretty sure they only made that because Daltry wanted to spend as much time as possible without his shirt on.
So, instead I'll say "Who's Next" is my favorite album and either "Love Reign O'er Me" or "Behind Blue Eyes" as my favorite song.

"Won't Get Fooled Again" ought to be the national anthem.

If you meet Roger ask him if he's going to be in the next Highlander movie.

I'll give you this chloroform if you let me see The Who!
I'm going to agree with Who's Next for album and go with Won't Get Fooled Again for song. I do love My Generation though.

What's funny is that I didn't even know that Roger Daltry was a singer until Gail brought him up in another thread. I'll always think of him as an actor that sings a little bit like Richard Greeko.

"Baba O'Reilly," and the entire (non-movie) album of Tommy
Awesome. If the surviving Beatles joined up with the surviving Whos, they'd have a complete set -- Paul was the bassist and Ringo the drummer which is who the Who lost...

My favorite Who song is the live version of "Won't Get Fooled Again" from The Kids Are Alright album.
My favorite who album is Who's Next. But Tommy and Face Dances are also high on the list.
I would still go see The Who as long as Roger and Pete were both still there. But I'd hold up a lighter in honor of the dearly departed John and Keith.

Anything from Who's Next. Boris the Spider is a great concert song too, but I don't know if they'll still do it (or even if they should) since it was really John Entwistle's baby.

Who's on stage?
Must I do this myself? Fine, be that way.
"Yes!"
"No, the band."
"No, Who's on stage."
"That's what I'm asking you!"

Oh man, Gail, you're so lucky - I would love to see the Who (or what's left of them)! Greatest live band ever.
My favourite album by them is Quadrophenia but I'm actually at a loss when it comes to picking my favourite 'oo tune. Any of their sixties singles, their 70s monster hits and great album cuts like Sea and Sand, Success Story, Amazing Journey/ Sparks, Mary Anne With the Shaky Hand and 905 all easily qualify. Hey, this is the frickin' Who we're talking about here, just how far wrong can you go?

The Who is my favorite band of all time. My favorite songs are Won't Get Fooled Again, My Generation, Getting in Tune, Baba O'Riley, Join Together, I Can See for Miles, I Can't Explain, You Better You Bet, Who Are You, Squeeze Box, Substitute, The Kids are Alright, Magic Bus, Pinball Wizard, Going Mobile, Bargain, and many more that I can't think of right now. As far as albums go? As a lot of people stated here, Who's Next and of course Tommy. I also kind of like their original album "My Generation."
Have fun, Gail. I'm really, really jealous... :)

As for my picks, my favourite song is " You Better " with " Good Looking Boy " a close second and I don't have a favourite album.

Favourite song? Like Jeffrey, I don't think I could pick one.
"Pictures of Lily" and "Magic Bus" come pretty close, though.

It's cool to see someone else that loves "Pictures of Lily." It's such a neat and quirky and wonderful song. Probably the sweetest song ever written about masturbation.
