There's this group of three idiots who always post stupid shit on every thread I post on...they're huge Howard Stern asskissers, I guess. So I called one an idiot.

Several times.

And then the moderator, Ben Simpson, also a big devotee of Stern, apparently, and one of those Mods who talks like Barney Fife, wrote a PM not to call this guy an idiot.

Which, as you know, I am not a fan of.

So banning. I'm fine with it, if they ban a non-creator for calling someone an idiot, then I'm fine with being banned as well.

But I still think the whole thing is just ridiculous and sad.

I actually heard that. The circumstances were... strange...

Howard was talking to her about these "closing optional parties" she hosts. Howard basically spent most of the interview talking about that (where do you undress?). Toward the end of the interview, Richard and Sal (who work in the back-offices) came in and said that Erica needed to basically "step it up or get the **** out." (Erica seemed to want to avoid any kind of discussion about these parties.) Howard got mad at Richard and Sal for coming in and saying that stuff. When the interview was over, some of the people who saw her leave said she had tears in her eyes as she left the studio (as well as the Sirius building).

Howard then spent some time (during a commercial spot he was doing) basically yelling at Richard, Sal and Gary (Gary is the producer of the show and has been working with Howard for about 20 years now). Gary had said it was alright for those two to come in during the interview and nobody had checked with Howard first (Howard usually gets some notice when those two want to come into the studio).

They (Howard and co.) had speculated that Erica cried because of the stuff Richard and Sal said. Although Howard was confused about why she clammed up so much about the naked parties thing (which was revealed in another interview she did that wasn't conducted by Howard Stern).

thread drift, but Stern's always struck me as a painfully unfunny clown whose supposed "outspokenness" has never amounted to much more than being obnoxious and creepy. I'll never understand why any female outside the porn industry - and this is definitely not a knock against anyone in the porn industry, I think they probably have a lot more credibility than poor Howard in most respects, since they're not pretending to be anything more than a sex-industry worker - anyway, why any other female would accept an invitation to his show. I can only surmikse that their agents convince them it's part of their job somehow. I remember seeing Michelle Yeoh on there once and it was downright embarrassing to see the confusion and growing discomfort as Stern wnet into his usual bullshit. Being a professional, she did her best to be a "good sport" about it and pretty much held her own, but man, it was painful to watch.

That's not quite an accurate detail of what happened. Howard wasn't so malicious in the interview and was generally curious about these naked parties. He asked if she took her clothes off in front of her guests or if she did so in a seperate room and she didn't answer that question.

Richard and Sal did attack Erica. And Howard yelled at them for doing so (kicking them out of the studio at the time and then yelling at them along with Gary later during the commercial spot).

I kept signing up with new IDs and he banned me as soon as he found me. I created something like 50 IDs with the word "pip" in them, including "pip'n ain't easy."
