I think the bone skewers appeared again in the Friendly Neighbourhood Spidey arc with the wrestling. (Issues 6 & 7, I think.)

Beyond that, they've been mostly ignored. Not explained or anything, just ignored. Presumably JMS will get back to some of it when he's finished with crossovers. Peter David has promised that some leftover elemants from The Other will be covered in Friendly Neighbourhood soon, also, I think the contents of the cocoon in the penultimate part.

Well, in the latest issue of FNSM Ms. Arrow, who works at Peter's school, just displayed some 'stingers' coming out of her wrists that were pretty similar looking to Peter's. If you ask me, I reckon Ms. Arrow is heavily involved with The Other storyline and may have even been in the cocoon seen in the penultimate issue of that arc. Only time will tell, I guess.

Interestingly, in this same issue Mysterio alluded to some 'superiors' that Ms. Arrow is working for.

I think he used them in Feral in SSM # 27 after he beat Stregon.

I hadn't even thought about that when i was reading. I think I need to go back and reread a lot of stuff so i might pick up on little things that I missed.

Spidey mentioned his power enhancements in the latest issue of Friendly Neighborhood. If they don't get mentioned more, it's only because there are more important things going on in Peter's life right now.

This arc has been back burnered until CW is over.

I liked it when he felt vibrations through his webs in the Other.

But I still prefer spiderman to have built his web-shooters instead of them being organic. It mad him a certified science guy.

Bone skewers... should be left on the back burner until they disolve and are forgotten.

I agree with you.

If it's organic, I still think Peter should produce those webs from his ass.

Back to topic. There's some suggestion Ms. Arrow isn't the Other, mainly because of name. She produces bony protrusions, and say the name fast...

and she may not be the Other, but Marrow.

Yeah, was that in the "Other" or when Ezekial tried to kill him?

Yeah, was that in the "Other" or when Ezekial tried to kill him?Neither. It happened in Paul Jenkins run on Spectacular Spider-Man during the Spider-Man Disassembled storyline.
How came his webs becom organic  i think i slept through this moment. It's probably better that way, it really wasn't that great of a story.

You're right about that. JMS said that he had to put off the things he wanted to do for a while. But once Civil War is over and the new costume is gone then he will get back on track with the new powers.

Yeah, this theory was floated in the FNSM #13 thread in this very same forum. I don't know, I think it would be pretty clever if the Ms. Arrow is Marrow thing turned out to be true but in my heart I'm doubting it.

Those 'wrist scewers' that Ms. Arrow exhibited are way too similar to Spidey's for her not to be in some way conected to The Other storyline IMHO. I'm not saying that she was definitely in the other cocoon seen in the penultimate issue of that story but I feel sure that there's some conection between her and that particular story arc.

As much as I would like to see Marrow, I think this is a much better idea. I know the other was not accepted well, but I hate when they leave things unfinished.

Also "Spoilers" are always nice cause I havn't gotten FN in the mail yet.

I also think that Ms. Arrow i the other, but what we think and what it is, are two different things :D

PS: btw i think in Sensational #27 his 'stingers' come up from the top of his hand (like Wolvarine's) and if i remeber right in the other they come from under (where his web come from) :o

It happened during the "Other" storyline. He seemed to develop them throughout the story, but #528 really gives us the rundown of what he has now. He now has perfect night vision, he can feel vibrations through bis webs, he has greater control of his adhesive powers, and the hairs on his body have become as sensitive as a real spider's (how that'll come in handy through his costume, I've no idea).

Plus, the stingers.

Everything sounds acceptable, except the ****ing stingers. I hope those fade away.

ok, so is all this new stuff supposed to be permanent? or will it all fade away come movie time, so as not to confuse the kiddies?

I doubt they will go away, after all....they aren't used that often, plus he has had organic webbing for well over 2 years or so and they are still here.

I think Spider-Man 3 is coming a little too soon to ditch the new powers, but I don't think they'll be around forever. It's the nature of the beat that 5 years from now or 10 years, Spidey wil eventually return to the status quo.
