It's finally out! The DVD-ROM that collects every issue of Amazing Spider-Man from Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962 to June 2006 including the annuals.

You can order it from these sites. http://www.eagleonemedia.com/comic_book_cd-roms.htm
http://www.digitalcomics.biz/group.asp?grp=14

There may be more places to get it at if you search Google or something. I ordered mine already, but don't have it. But I have all the others, like Avengers, Fantastic Four, Uncanny X-Men, and I have the ASM CD-ROM. But this DVD-ROM is updated with annuals. Get it people, it is a MUST BUY!

Then I guess you will loan me your copy of ASM #1,#2, and #5. I have #3 and #4.
But seriously...it is a cool idea. I have the other two disks and I really love to read favorite issues. Plus you find little gems...I was reading the letter page in Avengers #12 and read a letter from a young George R.R. Martin...it was bizarre to me that even at an early age he wrote his signature with two "R's" in it.

I agree but I don't know too many people who are just into reading comics that would say..."No I think I'm going topass on getting the first 500 or so issues for 40 bucks. I would rather spend hundreds maybe thousands of dollars trying to collect them all."

Its not the same as holding a comic in your hands, but... I will never own the entire run of Amazing Spiderman so this is the next best thing.

Quick review:

Inside the box, the dvd now comes in a dvd case.

My main concern was that they could just reuse the old ugly scans from the cds, but thanks god, they did rescan every issue with the same great quality as the previous dvds!

What I hated from the old scans was how awful the red in spidey's custome looked. This time the red looks even and bright!

No problem accessing all the pdfs (unlike the avengers dvd).

Includes asm#1 thorugh asm#531, including af#15 and all the annuals!

From the what's next section, scheduled for release in 2007 is the 40 years of Iron Man (NEW!) along with the Hulk, daredevil, and Captain America dvds previously mentioned.

I'm a happy man now that the wait is over, highly recommended.

Hopefully they will consider releasing a second volume with the team-up, spectacular, web, spider-man, unlimited, and sensational titles included. Buy it people, and lets email this company letting them now that we want more of this dvd collections.

I can't wait for the day where I can have a whole collection of Marvel comics stored on dvd roms that would fit a cd carrying case. Yay no more boxes.

I have the first set of ASM on the 11 CD's. I loved it. It was great to read all the stories that I'll never go out and get. I will buy the Daredevil one, once it's released.

I love having actual comics. There is nothing better then when I got to visit my mom for the holidays and I just pull out back issues and read them. That smell of old comics, the feel of old comics, the look of old comics. I am sitting here smelling my CD collection and it just doesn't have that....

My biggest issue is the smell and how much space all my 20 long boxes take, yet no matter how hard I try I cant bring myself to throw them out.

I can see the benefits of having 500+ issues on a DVD instead of box after box of comics but I really enjoy holding the real comics in my hand. Plus reading too much off a computer screen hurts my eyes. Don't get me wrong I bought the DVD set for Spider-Man and it is waiting for me at home and I can't wait to gt it. Plus I bought the set for Ultimate X-Men because for less t han $10 getting pretty much up to date on those is pretty sweet. I know that I would never want to competely change over to cds or just online issues but it is a good choice when you don't have unlimited funding.

I got mine in today...IT'S INCREDIBLE!!!!! A must have, no doubt!!!!

Call me crazy, but I think the comics look better on the computer. I mean they don't have that bad yellow tint or that weak paper feel. You get to see them on the DVD, and they look perfect! On a laptop, it's ideal!

By the way, this collection has the road to Civil War issues as well!!!

I just noticed a mistake. They scanned Giant-Size SM #6 instead of annual #6. And Giant-Size SM #6 reprints annual #4.

Annual #6 includes only reprints but I guess it also included some cool pin-up pages that I wanted to see :(

I just purchased this off of e-bay. Would someone who owns a store bought copy confirm something for me, please?

The copy I got appears to be a home burned purple DVD with a sticker pasted on top. Is this how all the copies are, or am I dealing with a pirate??

At least you won't have radiation in your face when you read printed comics, that's a great quality..Yaay.
I have all the comics I need in scans from Amazing Spider-Man issues burned in that DVD, so I don't need to waste money on it.
Renting comics and scanning them saved me plenty of money from buying comics I might lose and space (they're all in one DVD instead of a stack of comics taking over (1 cubic m) with all the advertising in the issues)

i have a question, can you view a full page at once and still be able to read the captions, or do you have to keep zooming in to read them?

I scanned comics my father owns and rented comics from some friends who collects them to fill the gaps in my collection.

i have a question, can you view a full page at once and still be able to read the captions, or do you have to keep zooming in to read them? The captions are viewable, but I always "zoom in" the panel I read for top comfort in reading, especially if I find a stained word.

All Spider-Man comics originally released in color (except Spectacular Spider-Man magazine #1), you definetly have the first two Essential books.

I remembered I always forget to ask this question:
The box is big, whats in the rest of it? A catalouge of the covers?

Its just a big ass box.

When I read the comics I zoom into about 200% I get almost a full page at a time and its big and readable.
