I love spiderman, and used to have a subscription. But many years have passed and i stop. Now I want to get into reading them again. Which comic book should I start out with?

Well,Amazing spider-man is the main title, the "flagship".It's where the big things usually happen and it plays an important role on Civil War.
It would be my choice:)

Don't forget Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man either, it's a very solid title. I guess if you're looking for the 'flagship' title then Amazing would be the way to go. I'd suggest you go to a comic shop, buy one of each titles subscribe to whichever one you like best, if you're going to subscribe as oppose to just buying them at a shop. When did you stop reading Spider-Man comics by the way?

It's been a very on time. Since the late 80's. I also heared that there is a comic book called spiderman loves MJ. Even though it was made for little girls the stories are pretty good. It been a very long time. But i guess your idea is really good buy one of each.

I read Amazing, Sensational, Friendly Neighborhood and I have the first 4 trades of Ultimate Spiderman. I would say that they are all really good. I really like the USM. It has become my new favorite but I would say pick of a few issues of them all. I doubt that you will be dissapointed.

Don't worry though, it's mostly good differences (e.g., better dialogue, more realistic art, etc.) I guess the only disappointing difference is that they cost more nowadays. I wish comics cost the same as they did back then.

Spider-Man loves MJ is very fun,but is not in continuity and the art is very "manga" style. You should check it either:)

You can buy the whole Amazing Spiderman collection on CD Rom starting with Amazing Fantasy 15 to the present. You can start reading where you left off. It's a very cost effective way of getting up to date.

Well I'd say get ASM for the main Spider-happenings and get Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man for the more fun, less serious Spidey stories.
