This is the thread to talk about all things wrasslin' (or Pro Wrestling) related. WWE, TNA, ROH, any of them.

Nice.

Back to business. IV already. Geez, didn't III just start like a month ago?

Well, I'll admit that I was wrong. This Impact was one of the best ones that I've seen. I guess Russo is doing something right, if he's the one running the show now.

He's definitely a big part of creative, but I don't think he has the last say on anything. But, his influence was defnitely felt this week. There was so much packed into, a bit over an hour. Spike gave TNA a nice buildup right before the shows start time.

Good show, and much more potential. It seemed everyone got a say. LAX was fierce. Hernandez is a monster.

Ron "The Truth" Killings is finishing up what's left of his contract. TNA did not grant him his early release, both he and Monty Brown.

That segment with AJ Styles getting a beatdown in Mexico was well done, but the action was so quick, I didn't recognize any of the luchas with LAX. Maybe on Saturday's repeat, I can check it out again.

Christian showed Jeff Jarrett who the main man in TNA is. But, then he was gored.

Yeah. It was all good one there. I'm glad that Christian isn't automatically on Jarrett's side just because he's a heel. It was awesome to see Jarrett get punked several times in one show. If they would just kill the guy on live TV, I'm sure that would draw big ratings.

I wonder why that chick with the big boobs, Tracy, doesn't come down to the ring with Matt Bently anymore?

Not a good way to start my day:

AAA Promoter Antonio Pena passed away earlier today due to what early reports are indicating as a massive heart attack. Pena had been ill for a long while, and initially the promotion itself denied the rumors, claiming he was out of the country working on business deals, and at other times claiming he was ill due to bronchitis.

Pena was a pro wrestler in the 1970‘s and eventually rose to power as the head of creative for the EMLL promotion. In 1992 Pena quit EMLL, and along with the Televisa Network, formed the AAA promotion. AAA set business records throughout Mexico between 1992-94, starring a crop of newer wrestlers such as Rey Misterio Jr., Eddy Guerrero, Octagon, La Parka, Psicosis, Juventud Guerrera, Latin Lover, Perro Aguayo Jr. and others.

AAA is still seen as the #1 promotion to many in Mexico as they continually gain higher TV ratings and larger crowds for big shows outside of Mexico City than rival CMLL.

Aye, and the storytelling is more focused, tighter, and is going in a certain direction, which is what TNA was lacking in the past. If all of this doesn't pay off with a Samoa Joe/Jeff Jarrett main event for the title, I won't see any point in all of this. But, it's a good start.

Hell yeah. It's great to see Christian be on his own as a heel instead of following Jarrett's lead like when Monty Brown and Team Canada were on his side.

I reckon Terkay will be taking on the Undertaker at WM.He seems to be the generic big guy Taker beats at mania.

As for Kane if those rumors about him retiring are true he might not even be around come mania time.

Terkay will have to step it up BIG time before he could be considered for that. It might be a fun match though since UT has been playing up his "striking" ablities and started using the triangle choke and other moves.

Kane and Big Show actually wrestled a good match at Backlash this year, and Taker put on a wrestling clinic with Kurt Angle (still match of the year, in my opinion).

Wouldn't it be a pleasant surprise for Kane's last match if he and Taker put on a classic 5-star WRESTLING match at Mania?

That would be an awesome end to any fued.

I didn't watch Kane and Big Show's match. I didn't like their fued at all.

I agree with you about Undertaker and Kurt Angle. They had a great PPV match, and then had another great match on Smackdown. I wish that they would have done more between those two, but I guess they must not have wanted either of them to turn heel.

I agree it would have to step it up big-time but at the moment he is the generic big man with an undefeated streak and thats usually all you need to get put against Taker.

Maybe if that feud with Benoit happens for Terkay he may step up.But i do think Terkay will be facing Taker at mania.

Actually now i think of WM its made me think what other matches we'd see there so heres my predicted card

John Cena (c) vs Randy Orton - WWE Championship
Chris Benoit (c) vs Batista - World Heavyweight title
HHH vs Shawn Michaels
Big Show vs Hogan
Foley vs Vince
Edge vs Carlito
Undertaker vs Slyvester Terkay
Johnny Nitro vs Umaga vs Ric Flair vs Finlay vs MVP vs King Booker - MITB
Mr Kennedy (C) vs Lashley - U.S Title
Mickie James (c) vs Melina -Womens title
Rob Van Dam vs Sabu -ECW Title

A 3 Brand 15 man battle Royal
Sandman , Dreamer , CM Punk , Balls Mahoney ,Test
Regal , Matt Hardy , London , Kendrick , Helms
Jeff Hardy , Super Crazy , Benjamin , Haas , Ken Doane

I think Cena-Orton just because i feel that the WM main event should be a match not seen before and that is probably Raws biggest match-up we have yet to see.

That reasoning should see Undertaker/Batista as the SD main event but then everyone would know Taker was winning so i think a heel Benoit will go in as a heel champ and they will try to get Batista over like he was before his injury.

DX will split at some point either that or Vince will force them to face off against each other at WM as long as it keeps Trips out the WM main event i dont care.

Show/Hogan and Foley/Vince well both are heavily rumored to be a lock for WM.

Edge/Carlito well i just think it would a good fresh feud.

Terkay seems the sort of threat Taker gets stuck with every WM.

I put MVP in the MitB just because i can already picture him moaning to Teddy Long its not fair he should be in such a dangerous match.

Mickie/Melina will probably be the only two big name divas still around at WM.

RVD/Sabu and Kennedy/Lashley just seem like rightful title matches to me.

The 15 man battle royal just gives a spot on the card.

Yeah i know i left Rey and Kane off the card but i'm sure Rey is off out for surgery soon and will miss WM and well Kane got bumped off the card the other year so they could always do it again.

I thought Killing had resolved his differences and signed a new 3 year deal.Probably thought going to the WWE and being stuck in Too Cool wouldnt be wise.

Dang. I hadn't heard about that. The last I'd read was that Killings was finishing up, and that negotiations between Monty and TNA were less tense, but still no new deal. Killings seemed to be interested in joining Vampiro's promotion in Mexico.

If Killings stays with TNA it would not be bad at all. The crowd was into him last night.

Side note: The editing for TNA's matches, when go and return from commercials was well done. I think that's one of the advantages of taping shows for airing, the viewer doesn't miss anything, really.

I liked the hi-low that Kazarian and Matt pulled on Brother Ray, and I was excited to see them take control, but then the show broke to commercial. I was upset because I thought I was going to miss some good stuff, then I remembered, drrrrrrrrr, it's taped. When they returned, it was like they never left.

Kane: there's really nothing left for him to do. He's going to be taking more time off after this thing with Umaga ends. I hope he doesn't go to WWECW. Smackdown is where he will hopefully end up.

Boogeyman has been re-hired by the WWE just 3 weeks after his release to me this means either

They just got in a load of boogeyman Halloween merchandise and need to sell it.

They can't have someone who beat JBL and Booker go to TNA without ever being jobbed out.

Nah , Batista may never be a wrestling machine but he still get the biggest pop on smackdown outside of the undertaker. If anything , i can see Lashley floundering in the future once they finish with his push . He's the generic powerhouse but he got zero charisma and zero mic work , i can see him ending up like Shelton Benjamin now - a real waste of talent.

Yeah i think Batista/Taker is probably the biggest match SD could have they we havent seen before. But rather then use it at WM which doesnt need selling i think it will be saved for a PPV that needs a buyrate.

As for Lashley i think you may be right they have done a good job with him so far but the fact they have changed the main event for No Mercy might mean they realise they have pushed him too hard and hes not ready which probably isnt a good sign for him.

With the way fans got behind Lashley at Great American Bash, I think we'll see Kennedy, Umaga, Carlito, and many others flouder with fans before he does. He's the hottest backed young wrestler on Smackdown today. During the last few Lashley/Batista team ups over the last few weeks, the crowd was chanting "Let's go Lashley" and "Bobby! Bobby!" before even thinking about chanting for Batista. Reminds me of the old days of Eddie and Cena teaming up in 2004 and the fans chanting "Eddie" over and over again while no selling Cena like he wasn't even apart of the team.

Batista? He's botching again like were back in a 2002 time machine. And the recent reports say that Kane will be taking 6 months off after he loses to Umaga this coming Monday.

Kennedy gets great crowd heat. He is just so swarmy. I would be that he is going over UT. Carlito gets a good crowd reaction too, just WWE creative has no idea what to do with him. They threw him into a match with Orton who couldn't draw heat right now if you lit him on fire and then procede to have Orton basically squash him. Umaga has some nice moves but Estrada is getting over not him.

Batista lost a lot of heat and Lashley was built up right. Lashley hasn't had to say much and is seen as a tough guy by the fans due to his fued with Finlay.

Now that we have a new thread, I feel it is my duty to remind you all of the greatness that is Randy Orton.

Thank you.

Anyway, I'd like to see Edge/Orton feud with DX, if only to keep Vince out of the ring. I just HATE Cena with DX and I'm a mark for Cena.

You know what would be great? Seeing Cryme Tyme destroy Cena. The white rapper vs the black hip hop thugs. I know it ain't PC, but neither is Cryme Tyme!

Right now, dammit!!!

As for Wrestlemania, the Great Khali might be back by then to get beaten once more by the Undertaker. But I remember reading somewhere that part of JBL's deal with the WWE right now is that he might wrestle a couple more matches here and there (like at gigantic PPVs, where he could rake in some $$$), so I suspect we're going to end up with JBL vs. the Undertaker at WM. They could do a pretty good build-up, and it wouldn't really matter if JBL lost.

The only other match that I'd like to see is the World's Greatest Tag Team vs. the Hardys in some kind of gimmick match. Otherwise, at least 3 out of those 4 guys aren't going to get onto the card at Wrestlemania, and that match is the best possible situation for all 4 of 'em.

I'd be all for reuniting Haas/Benjamin, but they'd still be lost in limbo since the tag division is absolute crap. It does seem, however, that there has been a slow build in bringing the scene back up, but it is very slow.

After watching Benjamin do his thing, and watching Haas wrestle in Zero-1, both men are being robbed of showing off their great talent.

Benjamin can't memorize a script, and Haas tends to be duller than oil in a lake. Let these guys wrestle. That's what they do. Someone else needs to be their mouthpiece.

Similarly, now that we have a new thread, it is my duty to remind you of the greatness that is Edge, and the injustice that he is no longer the WWE champion.

It pisses me off that there's a crotch blur on the SDvsRaw 2006 video game CAW section. I hope they get rid of it in the new game, because I'd love to create 2003 heel Rock.

Benjamin/Haas v Hardyz v London/Kendrick - TLC

Move Jeff/Hass/Benjamin to SD! and make this happen! =D

On a similar subject, I've been thinking of the best possible Money in the Bank ladder match for Mania this year. Do we go with all from one brand? Three each from two? Two each from all three?

I think it's safe to say that Shelton would be in one again, since he essentially steals the show. It'd be nice to see both Hardyz on it. For a third Raw guy, I'm torn between Carlito and Johnny Nitro, but for Smackdown I'd definitely want Kennedy. And then (Kennedy) for a third Smackdown guy, sticking Rey or Chavo in if Rey is still on the shelf then would be nice.

Looking at that line-up though, it seems the obvious winer would be either Kennedy or Carlito.

I really liked it when they were "Team Angle" and Kurt did the talking and they just beat people up for him. They did some awesome wrasslin' back then. Both of them have toned it down a lot in the ring since then, in terms of actual wrasslin'. At least Benjamin still impresses with his high flying moves. I think it's so awesome when he jumps to the top ring ropes in one move.

Last I heard Ron Killens had resigned with the company. And Monty I don't give a damn about really. I never really understood why people liked his promos because they were basically him acting foolish and all I could get was him naming the place the Sarengeti.

If Nash stays with Alex Shelley and the 2 bounce crazy shit off each other its a win/win. Nash gets something to do and Shelley gets the rub from it. I bet Russo is the one who wanted Nash back and it wouldn't shock me if he keeps Nash as Shelley's big bro type.

That would be a sweet match in my opinion, but I wouldnt be surprised if CM Punk, RVD, and Mr. Kennedy would be in bigger matches at Wrestlemania. Alternates would be Rey Mysterio and Sabu.

I know this is anal, but resigned is way different than re-signed. Sorry, just drives me nuts, though then again, I'm a mark for Cena and Orton, so I drive you all nuts. ;)

I'm looking forward to Smackdown tonight. You've all led me to the fabled land of good wrestling, good storytelling (even the stories I don't like are told well), and for that I am grateful.

If I could have things my way, I'd just have Matt Striker and Big Show travel to each show, beat the shit out of the champion, steal the belts and give it to people in their stable. It'd make for a cool ECW vs Raw/Smackdown event.

Hogan apparently wants Show at mania since it will the 20th anniversary of his match with Andre so i'm guessing RVD will beat Show for the title at December to Dismember.

Good Smackdown. Mysterio and Hardy worked well together and Chavo's heel heat is getting to it's proper point leading to the PPV.

Helms probably has the best theme in the WWE right now. I LOVE hearing that theme.

Jimmy Wayne Yang aka Akio=Excellent wrestling. I love his high workrate and his timing in the ring is a joy to watch. I would love to see him against the other top workers like Mysterio, SuperCrazy, Shelton Benjamin, and CM Punk. Would be great to watch and potential 4 star matches could become the norm again.

MVP Sucks on every level until he proves something.

Kennedy finally does a serious promo but despite that, he's overrated until he does something worthwhile for once.

Lashley vs Batista was better than it had any right being. Lashley's striking has improved thanks to his work with Finlay and he had the crowd behind him as did Batista but remember this match because the fans will turn on Batista if they do a rematch in Detroit at WM 23. Bank on it.

Finlay continues to be a hot heel and stays dominant. Much more effective in the WWE than a Randy Orton is right now. Unlike Regal and Sharmell over the past several weeks, I've noticed the subtle little thing about him not really chanting "All hail King Booker" in the backstage promos and that finally was developed tonight during his match with the World Champion. Batista came out looking the strongest tonight which means he would get punked out this Sunday and likely Booker will retain his World title above all else. ALL HAIL the best character in the WWE....ALL HAIL KING BOOKER!

Jimmy Wang Yang's ring skills have amazed me for the second week in a row. It just sucks to see him lose to a weiner like Sylvan. I hope Yang gets that Cruiserweight belt around his waiste soon.

Im not really liking this whole Fatal Four Way match at No Mercy. Batista and Lashley fighting each other just dosent seem right because they have been teaming together alot lately and are both faces. I would honestly rather see The Undertaker be in Lashleys place and Lashley be in The Undertakers place at No Mercy.

JBL seems like the kinda guy who probably is a piece of trash in real life. I get a bad vibe from him.

Well, Smackdown does it again. Notice how EVERY match got a pop from the fans? Notice how everyone made the crowd cheer something?

I already care more about these feuds than ANY on RAW. They've sold me on SMACKDOWN's characters and the matches are top notch.

I love that the two big matches finished quickly, so we could have the tag match. RAW would never be so ballsy.

And I still love Rey Mysterio, though where did this whole 6:19 thing come from?

"619" is the area code for San Diego, which is where Rey is from. Also, it's the call name of his finisher, which is a tornado whip between the top and middle ropes while the opponent is draped across the middle rope so that he whips his legs into the guy's face and makes the pin.

I honestly expected Sydal to win it, but boy am I glad it was Delirious!

There's one thing that annoyed me though, the way the defending champ was used.
There should have been a bit more story to Roddy having to defend his title but still he was sorta tacked on to Homicide v Briscoes and didn't even make it to the finals. x_x

The defending champ of the previous year wasn't even booked on the show last SOTF. I don't think it's much of an issue, it's more like King of the Ring than G-1.

Okey dokey.....still pumped that Delirious won though, can't wait to hear his victory promo.

Don't forget Delirious v Steve Corino in Chicago, this could prove to be awesome!

And you know this can only mean more Delirious/Cornette stuff which is always comedy gold.

Ok, here are my No Mercy predictions:

King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay - Batista. Think we'll see some decention in the ranks with the tease of a possible Finlay face turn.

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker = The Undertaker. U.S. Title is not on the line so I think they'll just sweep this under the rug and continue with Kennedy's push.

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guererro - Rey Mysterio. The feud will probably continue afterwards too.

MVP makes his debut - we're all underwhelemed.

Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms - Matt Hardy.

Kendrick & London vs. Stevens & James - London & Kendrick. It'll probably open the show.

MVP makes his debut - we're all underwhelemed.

It'll be against some obvious jobber like Funaki or Tatanka or Scotty 2 Hotty.

But I'd appreciate the endeavor if MVP actually lost.

Sadly, since they've been doing that to other newcomers these days (Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore, for example), I see him winning and no one really caring...

No Mercy predictions:

King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay - King Booker.
I don't think Batista is impressing enough to get the title back, Booker to Survivor Series!

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker - The Undertaker.
U.S. Title is not on the line, that's the teller, imo.

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guererro - Rey Mysterio.
Hopefully a really good match, and hopefully the end of the fued, but I doubt it.

MVP v (my guess) Tatanka - MVP.
Tatanka losing won' hurt him, it's his gimmick these days and MVP should get a win.

Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms - Gregory Helms.
The Cruiserweight Champ made to look strong hopefully entering a fued with Yang, plus he's against the Jobber Hardy.

Kendrick & London vs. Stevens & James - London & Kendrick.
My boys should win this, and continue for a while, but I don't see them keeping them to SS

No Mercy predictions:

King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay - King Bookah!!!No one deserves the title more than him. No one has stepped up more than him. Putting it on anyone else would do nothing for the show. Keeping it on King Bookah still leaves many doors open.

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker = The Undertaker. I want Kennedy (Kennedy) to win. I really, really want Kennedy to win (Kennedy), but I just don't see it happening. Excellent promo Friday night by Mr. Kennedy.

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guererro - Chavo. I keep expecting Vickie to pulla double swerve and take out Chavo however.

MVP makes his debut - no comment.

Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms - Matt Hardy. He's due. Helms has had his number this whole time.

Kendrick & London vs. Stevens and James- Stevens & James . Even though Stevens and James have been on for a while, who the hell are they? Do I want them to win, no. They win because of McCool's interference, and becausee Kendrick/London have held on to it long enough.

clayholio
10-07-2006, 12:56 PM
King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay - Finlay - why not? If anyone's going to take the belt off of Booker tomorrow, Finlay's the guy. Plus, there's a semi-tradition of guys losing the US belt and suddenly getting the World Championship (Cena, Eddie Guerrero)

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker = Taker, but it might be competitive.

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guererro - Rey, but Chavo "injures" Rey after the match

MVP makes his debut - vs. Vito. Vito wins by count-out when MVP flees Vito's crotch-blur

Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms - Matt Hardy takes it, and starts another diet to compete as a cruiser

Kendrick & London vs. Stevens & James - London and Kendrick, I hope.

Smackdown was pretty good this week. Anytime you've got as much Finlay as there was this time around, it's a good thing. Plus, I'm really enjoying the Jimmy Wang Yang stuff.

It was kind of cool to see Ricky Steamboat and Mike Rotunda come out during the big brawl between Finlay/Booker/Lashley/Batista.

Any of you guys listen to VInce on Byte This?

He was out of character and it was a great listen, he compared Angle's release to Benoit taking time off (how he agrees with Benoit taking time off, and is upset Angle started wrestling again so soon), and saying he doesn't know when Chris'll return.

You could tell that Vince really likes Finlay, hell, you could tell that at Summerslam, when he was the only person he shook hands with....twice, and he seems to have a great respect for Benoit, and likes there matches.

Hmmm......he likes two of the best wrestlers he has...but...ah, this is too easy, lol.

King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay - Finlay. Will he win, probably not, but I like him, so I hope he does.

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker - Undertaker wins, but it will probably be a great match

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guererro - Hopefully Rey-Rey wins and this feud comes to an end.

MVP v whoever - Nothing to say here.

Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms - Matt Hardy is who I would also like to win, but he will probably not win.

Kendrick & London vs. Stevens & James - London & Kendrick, Like 'em more.

"619" is the area code for San Diego, which is where Rey is from. Also, it's the call name of his finisher, which is a tornado whip between the top and middle ropes while the opponent is draped across the middle rope so that he whips his legs into the guy's face and makes the pin.

King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay - As a fan Im hoping for either King Booker or Finlay to win, mostly Finlay for storyline purposes but like Lashley I doubt Finlay is big enough to sell a Smackdown PPV on his own.

I pedict that Batista will win since his heat has been dying down and putting the belt on him may bring his heat back.

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker = The Undertaker but Kennedy will do something to cause the feud to go further.

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guererro - Rey, for some reason I see Vickie accidently causing Chavo to lose the match.

MVP makes his debut - I just hope that he is as good of a wrestler as he claims he is.

Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms - Matt Hardy. Helms has held the title way too long and I like to see Helms get a US Title run after this.

Kendrick & London vs. Stevens and James- Stevens and James.

I gotta say right now that the King Booker thing is THE FIRST THING I have ever loved and hated at the same time. I don't know what makes me hate it, and I don't know what makes me like it.

As for the matches on sunday:

(A title belt symbol (=O=) is beside my winner picks)

King Booker (=O=) vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay
-It's either him or Batista. Possible turn by Finlay or Lashley.

Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker (=O=)
-Smaller people always lose to a face Taker, unless their name begins with R and ends with Orton.

Rey Mysterio (=O=) vs. Chavo Guererro
The odds are too stacked against him to lose. You all know how it is.

MVP makes his debut...
...and picks up an L. The way they've done this hyping, they could make him look like a punk in the ring to get some laughs. Dramatic Irony.

Kendrick & London (=O=)vs. Stevens & James -
Stevens and James, b/c Kendrick and London got the belts for too long.

Yeah, like a ppv or something, or just the main event on a weekday. Heels cheat to win, I get it, I love it, but they just aren't resonating skill equality with the faces like they have before. I'm missing that. It's like their lower life forms or something.

It doesn't matter who it is, Finlay putting the beatdown on someone is always good for business.

I know that others here don't, but I'd love to see UT make at least one more full time run in WWE with a World or WWE title reign in there before he hangs it up for good.

I would love for UT to get one more genuine title run. For a time I even hoped he would be allowed to retire with a world title, but that is unlikely now, but at least leave his Wrestlemania streak alone.

But, it also makes sense to me, if his last match is a Wrestlemania one. One where he loses.

Finlay beating down Batista was th eonly time he's looked weak since he's returned.

Return: The beat the snot out of Henry.

SNME: His team won and Henry got injured.

GAB: He lost by count out, but destroyed Kennedy.

SD! week after: Same as GAB.

Next week: Destroyed Kennedy, proclaimed himself new no.1 contender

Next week: Powerbombed King Booker through a table

Summerslam: Lost by DQ, but was the one left standing

Smackdown: Was beat down by Finlay

Next week: Came and got Finlay with his pipe

Next week: Batista and Lashley beat Finlay and Regal

This week: Laid out all 3 men he's facing on Sunday, and shrugged off a low-blow.

That seems pretty strong to me.

Ah, I didn't watch a single segment of the Diva Search, so I know none of 'em, lol.
Sometimes the big breasts prevented me from fast forwarding. And, to my horror, I ended up watching RAW and Smackdow as they were being broadcast so I had no choice other than turning it off. Sometimes the Diva competition was like a car wreck; you don't want to look but you can't help yourself.

I'm wondering if they trust him enough to wrestle again.
Did he hurt someone? I'm guessing if he did it was posted here but I missed it somehow.

No, I read that, backstage, they're not impressed with his in-ring work.

I was impressed in his debut match, simply because he had some moves that we don't normally see in WWE wrasslin', but it just doesn't seem like he has much else to offer. I'll say it once again, if they intend to try to keep the guy, they should just tag team him and Burke so that he could come in, do his stuff, and then tag Burke in when things need to get exciting. Hell, that's what they did with Batista with Rey, when Batista was hurt.

Finally watched "Byte This" and it was a lot of fun. McMahon is a very good salesman-- it gets hard to tell when he's being sincere and when he's selling a product. Very smart businessman.

Have Finlay and Benoit ever feuded? They'd be awesome together in the ring.

I'm thinking their is more to SmackDown's plan to have Undertaker be Booker's opponent on the season premiere. So, the No Mercy match so early in the "season" to put Undertaker on the the championship map as well as put Kennedy over.

Perhaps...even have Kennedy to defeat the Undertaker to win the WWE or WHC for the first time.

I can see Kennedy getting disqualified, but I'd hope for a pin.

It doesn't look like the Undertaker will get the title again. Maybe a shot, but not the belt. I wish it would happen, but it seems hazey.

Undertaker isnt on TV enough to defend a title. He shows up maybe 1 out of every 4 Smackdowns and on PPV. If he was around more I would love to see the World Heavyweight Championship on him.

They had a couple of matches before Benoit's recent break (including one PPV match, I think), but unless they feuded in WCW (which I haven't seen), there hasn't been one in WWE. I'm generally a happy wrestling fan if there's any combination of Regal, Finlay, and Benoit in a match.

Yeah who could forget Triple H being the first man to lose the title to himself.

Not really, Sasaki Kensuke predated HHH. He lost a non-title match to Toshiaki Kawada, vacated the IWGP title, then won a tournament for the vacant title. Guess what was the final match? Kawada v. Kensuke. Yes, it's just as stupid as it sounds. They could've just have had Kawada win the title and lose it right back to Kensuke, but noooooooo.

How did Jeff Hardy become Intercontinental Champion so quickly, while Matt keep being de-pushed.

Is this a case of just keeping your mouth shut, and showing up to work? Or is it lack of competition on Raw's part, or a mixture?

I think that they are giving Jeff some gold so he wont think that he is being under-used and start doing drugs again. The WWE is trying to 'protect' there investment in Jeff Hardy, thats what I think anyway.

I think that the Carlito/Shelton Benjamin/Johnny Nitro three-way scrum over the IC belt had kind of played itself out, and Hardy was as good of a choice as any to liven that situation up. And honestly, who else would have been a good choice? I don't know that anyone is clamoring to see Chris Masters or Rob Conway with some gold around Their respective waists, and the IC belt would be a step down for a guy like Randy Orton or Kane. Plus, giving Hardy an IC title run so quickly establishes him a bit for anyone who hadn't seen him back in the Hardy Boyz days.

There really is no one else to really place the IC belt on?

For Matt, is he really getting de-pushed? I'm enjoying this feud with Gregory Helms, but since being back, he has not accomplished much at all. Edge has been WWE Champion, Jeff's IC Champ. I'm not sure if Matt's status is still because of his venting on WWE way back when, or if there's just really notihing to do with him until the inevitable Hardyz reunion.

Finlay and Benoit used to have some GREAT matches on WCW...way back when it was on Saturday Nights. Them, Regal, Eddie Guererro(before he gained muscle mass for the WWE), and Dean Malenko used to have awesome matches at WCW...I miss those days.

I geuss that the WWE has decided to break up the coolest stable in years. Booker isnt going to trust Finlay after this whole ordeal and Regal socked Booker in the mouth during a backstage segment. Still happy that King Booker kept his belt but his court was one of the reasons he was a good heel champion.

Glad to see The Rabbid Wolverine back in action, hopefully he'll be in the title hunt kicking ass and taking names.
