So we finaly get an issue of FF that talks about Reed's science. Looks like the happy-go-lucky genius is questioing himself in aftermath of his whole family leaving him (those jerks) and is comparing himself to Nazi scientists (Albeit humeriously). Seems Reedy dosn't exactly like the idea of locking people up in the Neg Zone. How shocking. someone on the Pro-Reg side who thinks that the Pro-reg side is wrong. Like that has'nt been done to death.

On a less serious note, Loved the Tom Lehrer reference (Even if it did once again relate the Pro-Side to the Nazi's, I love the song). Now if they only included Posioning Pigons in the Park or National Brotherhood Week...

Who is Wildstreak?

Finally! Let's hope this is indeed an all-Reed issue, and goes into some detail about why he's doing what he's doing - more than just 'I'm ignoring the ethical implications because I'm a scientist,' that is.

I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I got a laugh out of Wildstreak's dialogue. "Still weak... One chance... Have to get out of here... before Deadpool kills me... for stealing his spoken-out-loud self-narration bit..."

Until someone said her name I was wondering what Jesse Quick was doing in FF.

Ok, so in the last bit, was that implyed to be Sue making wildstreak invisable and then telling reed bye before smashing through the window?

But seriously what kind of genius designs a machine that when just touched by metal it explodes... weak.

Firstly- wasn't that the 541 cover? I thought 540 was Thing walking amist a warzone?

Secondly- thank God, some Reed! I forgive JMS for not doing anyone but The Thing last issue because he couldn't show the others, but there's no excuse for it in 538.

Also, nice to see Reed further humanised while still being pro-reg. It IS possible.

Enjoy it while it lasts. That looked like some pretty clear foreshadowing of Reed reconsidering his role.

I'm thinking JMS is sort of using the same approach as Bendis in NA by giving entire issues to a single characters perspective. Bouncing back between Reed, Ben, Sue and Johnney would in many ways be less effective for something like this.

Personally, were it me writing 6 FF tie-ins, I'd write one for each character, but with one 'finale' at the end to wrap it up, and one special just for THIS after CW4 because...

Well, at thios time we need a FF issue, not just one character!

It's just a little joke Reed likes to play on Tony.

Hmm, after reading up on Wildstreak, I have to wonder- rather than imprisoning her in the Negative Zone, why didn't they just take away her exoskeleton? A) She'd be unable to, you know, go anywhere, and b) she wouldn't be a superhuman any more.

JMS draws the names out of hat, he doesn't you know do research. Same with Jenkins...ok we won't do anything with the person who can make their arm into anything, even I don't know a giant bomb that could kill us all or something!

Or that shows why we need registration cause noone knows peoples powers and they need the heroes to tell them what they can and can't do and the source of their powers.

Third option is she is SO going to die.

So basically if we can import the Wikipedia into the 616 we don't need registration at all :) I think we have a solution.

See, the story worked for me because I DIDN'T know about the exoskeleton. And is the Prowler in the Neg zone too? He doesn't have any powers.

Worse, worser, and worserer it gets.

Edited: Oh, it's out today and'll have it's own thread (I got it Monday). The points about Wildstreak are on the mark, and she's getting sent there in her uniform when everyone else has their prison jammies. Dumb. Take of the uniform and she's powerless in a wheelchair. It's little things like this in JMS' FF that always get me in the end. No research, or missed points (Ben not mentioning the Puppet Master last issue, Johnny's Nova Flame having the effects of an out of control propane tank in Vegas). Only one issue left, though.
