Strange Girl

Would anybody recomend it. I'm liking Fear Agent, loved Black Heart Billy and thought Sea Of Red was ok. This work by Rick Remeander has me curious and I'd like any body whom is reading Strange Girl to tell a couple things that you enjoy about the series.

I really, really like the issues with Nguyen on art. With the change in artist, the story has changed a bit as well. On the first eight issues, the dialogue is sharp, the pacing is fast and the characters are engaging. I'm a little concerned about the new direction the series seems to be headed in, as it is notably less humorous. While it's hard to say more without spoilers, Bethany is still a great main character--I'm just not sure I'm happy with some of the recent changes. If anything, at least pick up the first two trades. It's great stuff.

Thanks, I'll check it out. The best descriptive thing you said about it was that it is a humorous series. Knowing that Rick Remeander's punk ass wrote Strange Girl should of been recomendation enough.:)

My update is that I went to the local comic shop and bouhgt the first two issues of Strange Girl. It was alright. The coloring was dark and the art was cluttered in issue 1 it was a basic introduction to the character and themes of the book. Issue 2 had much better art and better coloring, The plot is moved along. Basic conflict is introduced. The little suide kick demon tries to bring levity, but the comedic effect is really strained. I might give it a couple more issues since these 2 seem to just be the warm up.

If I knew SoR was gonna end at 13 and get a HC I may have waited, but I'll be happy with my 3 vol's. Fun book.

I've got the Strange Girl tpb's on order and I'll be diving into this series soon. Can't wait! :)

For some reason, I suck with this series even though I didn't find much to like in the first several issues. Having read all 11 now, I'm crazy about it and am loving the characters and situations.
