1) Pick a sport
2) Make a team with X-characters only...
3) Describe who works where and why...ex. Nightcrawler would work very well on almost any sports team...he can play WR, any outfield position, almost any position in bball too...

Basketball (as seen in X-Men (Vol. 2) #4)

PG Jubilee
SG Rogue
SF Gambit
PF Wolverine
C Colossus

Jubilee gets to be the point guard because of her passing ability on display in X-Men (Vol. 2) #4. Gambit's the best shooter on the team, but I decided to place him at the small forward position because he's taller than Rogue. Wolverine's very short so it seems off to play him at power forward, but he's s tough little bastard and I imagine its hard to bump around in the paint with a guy with an adamantium skeleton. He'll be the X-Men's Wes Unseld. And Colossus gets to play center just because he's the tallest X-Man and that's really all 90% of the NBA's centers are. The tall guy.

I'll create a baseball team too.

Pitcher: Rachel Grey
Catcher: Beast
1 Base: Colossus
2 Base: Jubilee
3 Base: Emma Frost
Shortstop: Surge
C Field: Nightcrawler
L: Field: Northstar
R: Field: Quicksliver

Rachel's the pitcher for 2 reasons. She's gonna know what pitch to throw based on what the hitter's looking for. And she's gonna know which base runners are looking to steal.

Beast's the catcher because I just seem to remember him being the catcher in a couple X-Men baseball games. Plus big hands and few people are gonna be able to mow him down.

The outfield's made of 2 speedsters (1 who can fly to get the balls those right handers want to send over the wall) and Nightcrawler who can get anywhere.

For the infield I wanted one speedster to get the balls fast and send them to 1st base. Colossus is at 1st so he can actually survive getting thrown Surge's high speed throws. Emma's at 3rd base to give those runners rounding third the mental suggestion that their 3rd base coach is telling them to go home even though they shouldn't. And just because I wanna, Jubilee's at 2nd base. Maybe she can blind a couple runners.

Here is my hockey team.

C-Iceman. The dude controls ice. It is a no-brainer that he be on the X-Men hockey team
WINGER- Kitty Pryde. She is fast and would be able to phase through her opoonents.
WINGER-Nightcrawler. Like Kitty he is fast and extremely agile. He can teleport to the open lanes and wreak havok on the opposition.
D-Colossus Big strong Russian who can hit like a machine crushing any forwards
D- Juggernaut- Same as Colossus
G-Blob. Nothing would get past his fat ass

Goalies: Charles Xavier and Eric Lensherr
Centers: Scott Summers, Alex Summers, Nate Summers, Hank McCoy
Wingers: James Logan, Kurt Wagner, Warren Worthington, Remy LeBeau, Bobby Drake, Kitty Pryde
Defenseman: Cain Marko, Piotr Rasputin, Marie Rogue, Ororo Munroe

X-Volleyball.

Coach: Professor Xavier (Duh!)
Assistant Coach: Sage

Outside hitters: Rogue (Pre-X-treme X-Men) and Marrow (You need power for outside hitters that are fast and agile)
Middle Hitters: Colossus and Captain Britain (Tall and powerful. Both would slam that ball back into the middle of the court. Literally)
Setter: Rachel Grey (You need someone with the perfect touch. Rachel is very accurate with her TK, making her great at placing that ball exactly where it needs to be.)
Opposite: Psylocke. (Another hitter that needs power and a bit accuracy. Betsy can topple mountains.)
Defensive Specialist: Nightcrawler or Jean Grey. (Nightcrawler can get anywhere on the court and just in the nick of time, making him perfect to dig any spike, no matter how fast or how hard. And Jean's TK is accurate and powerful enough that she could easily slow down the ball enough to get a hold of it.)

i made this line-up based on defense. i had a tough time with the corner infield positions. my initial thought was colossus at first, but since he is the tallest x-man he should be at third. his zone rating and range factor would be pretty low, but nightcrawler at short should make up for the defensive lapse in the left infield. i was thinking archangel at 3rd, but he wouldn't have the power to play a corner infield spot.
